    Another enjoyable blog Daniel, some lovely shots. I agree the wild garlic looks best on a slope. Really liked the one with the light catching the garlic. Did the smell make you hungry, I made the mistake of going into a garlic wood before breakfast and it made me very hungry!

    Great location Daniel, I wonder if it's a certain Wood I was going to go to but weather and work commitments stopped me....don't worry I won't ask! managed to get some wild garlic shots for the first time this year but wasn't really happy with them. The light in yours and the hill slope does make such a difference. Thanks for the work you do. Living in Hampshire and shooting in Dorset often you give me ideas and inspiration.

      Thanks so much for watching Steve, I really do appreciate it! I visited this forest a couple of times with no luck and knew it was about a week away from fully flowering but with the weather forecast being as bad as it was I had to shoot it early and I’m glad I did as I went past this weekend and it’s just not the same anymore, the rain and wind has really messed it up. Thanks for your kind words Steve

    What do you do on a Bank Holiday when the weather is grim.... make a cuppa and watch Daniel. You have a lovely collection of new RF glass to go with your new camera, I’m still using the adapter and my old EF glass at the moment. How do you rate the 24-105 lens? Is it sharper than the old EF 24-105? Happy Bank Holiday and thanks for entertaining me!

    • @DanielWretham
      @DanielWretham  Před 2 lety +1

      Happy bank holiday Jennie ! And thanks for watching. The RF glass is absolutely amazing, and the 24-105 is way sharper than the old EF glass, I would absolutely recommend getting it as it’s well worth the price IMO. The 15-35 F2.8 is good but personally I’d by the F4 version now and save yourself a lot of money and weight, it wasn’t out back then so I had to go for the F2.8 but now I’d absolutely go the other way. I’d love the 100-500 to complete the set but it’s huge money so the EF 100-400 will have to do for the time being !

    • @jenniejudd834
      @jenniejudd834 Před 2 lety +1

      @@DanielWretham appreciate your feedback Daniel. I have been holding back thinking they would release 24-70f/4 as I was concerned the 24-105 would not be very sharp. It is an expensive game this business of photography! You should get writing to Santa early to see if he can drop off the 100-500 lens. I’ve not used it but one of my friends have it and loves it. Thank you for responding it is really appreciated.

    Such lovely video and photos, Daniel. I loved seeing the light shining on the blooms♥️ wild garlic is not native here but it grows here anyway. Some people try to just pull it to keep it from growing further. My opinion is, it is beautiful and tastes great. I would be fine with fields of it😊.
