Runs well
I have recently bought a Evinrude outboard engine, ran when I bought it but now not working as it hasn't been used for a while. This is my first outboard so bought second hand as I couldn't afford new. It ran very well lovely engine, Model number E5RCLCTA, serial number B004033, 1983 model 4.5 I live in the Uk and I'm struggling to find the carb kit, and to add to that find anything online for this model. Hope you point me in the right direction with the issue I have.

That 2nd tool you teyed to remove to pump would have worked if you knew what it was its a impact screwdriver. You hit it with a hammer
I am sorry I ask so many questions, but I am learning all I can so I can do my motor myself. Where do I purchase the hand pump for the quart bottle that screws into the lower gear case. Also, what grease/oil is in the quart bottle you are pumping in? I have never worked on anything "boat" before but have worked on automobiles and airplanes.
You can buy a pump dispenser at many auto and marine repair stores. Get Marine Gear Oil, SAE 90.

You can't swap out a complete power head. The low speed (top) screw should be 1.5 turns out from gently closed position. The high speed (lower) screw should be 3/4 of a turn out from gently closed position. Turning the screws clockwise leans the gas mixture, counter clockwise richens the gas mixture. After getting best running operation for both high (do first) and low speed needles, put the knobs back on at 6 o clock position to allow for finer tuning while running under load in your boat.

Another method of removing difficult screws like the water pump cover screws is to put small Vice Grip Pliers perpendicular to the line of your screwdriver and grip the head of the bolt with the Vice Grips. You will have tremendous leverage due to the length of the Vice Grips. I use this method to just break the torque and then go back to a screwdriver.
