I’d recommend buying the PVC pipe and fittings at your local construction store (Home Depot, Lowes, etc.), as you can return unused parts easily and pick up more if you underestimated what is required.

I have a finished basement with high radon levels. I want to install the mitigation system myself. I do not have a sump pump hole since I live in an area with low ground water levels. What added steps do I need to install the system, i.e. cut a concrete hole in basement floor. How big does the hole need to be, and is a condensate pipe still needed?

thanks for the video, how did you get power to the outdoor outlet via the house , direct wire connected to indoor outlet or new line from electrical box,

I connected into the outlet that was there for the sump pump. The fan draws little power, so it shouldn't be an issue.

I'm about to start this project myself. So the drip drain simply catches moisture that condenses or rain falling in and sends it back into the pit to be eventually pumped out?

Correct, rather than into the fan itself.

How did you size your fan. Any estimating tools you used? Or did you get a professional estimate?

I did not get an estimate from a professional. I just sized it based off of my square feet of the house, and used online information for sizing.

Hi, may I know if the fan can only be installed outdoor or it is ok to install indoor?

The fans are normally pretty noisy. You want them outside so you don't hear them in your basement.

It's also against building code to install within a living space since accidental disconnects or other piping failure could allow the fan to basically pump the radon into the living space. So the fans are generally installed outdoors or within an attic only - no crawlspace either as accidental disconnect would then allow the radon to seep into the living space above.
