Indeed, Kruger is talented. Dave Mason is a humble man and I don't think that he ever had issues sharing the spotlight with any talented musician. It has always been about the music. Yes, he had differences with Steve Winwood I'm not sure anyone knows the truth about that disagreement. Great stuff, this.

You know, Jim and Dave had their differences. But in the long run, Dave loved Jim and regretted their differences. You know, the soul is a scar that never heals. RIP Jim, Love you Dave, keep up the beautiful memories.

Thanks to whoever put this here for me and my friends to enjoy. What a wonderful performance by Dave and Jim.

It's fun to watch those tunes that have a two-minutes-of-noodling intro, to an indifferent crowd, who finally recognize the song once Dave starts singing, and cheer in approval. My verdict: more song, less noodling.

I LOVE it!! Saw Dave many times.. In 1976 in Worcester Mass with the reveal of his (then) new double live album!! He was GREAT... but perhaps most memorable was him performance at BB Kings in NYC in 2006... He had aged, gained weight, lost hair..but NEVER lost his ability to touch people with his artistry. His love for what he does on stage came out of every pore of his body that night. He is an unparalleled performer

This was aired on a late night concert show back in ‘81. My brother and I recorded the audio (with a cassette tape recorder) directly from the TV, while keeping quiet. Paused the tape during the commercials. Played it in my LeMans until the tape wore out.

Fantastic! Thanks for posting this. I want to step in a time machine so bad and go back to those days. What a team, Mason and Kruger! They made immortal music together.
