I love the split lighting drama in black and white.
I love Split Lighting but obviously not everyone does, however Daniel Norton a friend recently went on a cruise and one of the pictures they took was a portrait of Split Lighting as an option. Thank you for all the knowledge and content you make and share with us all in this channel!
Thanks for this video! Aside from regular headshots, I like to go heavy on the shadows when experimenting with portraits but I didn't realize this was the term for it 👍

I usually use only one light, but it's normally bounced off the ceiling or in a softbox centered. I might bounce a single flash off the wall or a reflector.
Brooklyn reflectors in color must be expensive?
Wouldn't using a projection modifier (such as the light blaster) with a hard line gobo also be an option? (I wouldn't know, I've never done split lighting, I prefer the BD above camera + ring fill)

Too Me Split Lighting, is not an attractive Lighting, Actually appears to me that Photographer did not get the ligthing correct, and needed more lighting on the dark side of the face. But what do I know, I am an Amateur shutter clicker. LOL
