Darren I have a short but weird question haha. My RC2 controller felt down last time and I currently checking if everything still working fine. There is one thing which I never tested before, so IDK what the normal behavior. After connecting RC2 via USB C to my mobile phone and opening DJI fly app, it does not recognize it for screen/camera mirroring. I know that it is completely unnecessary as RC2 has its own display but may I kindly as you for trying to check this and let me know if for you it will be also not possible to get camera screen mirroring on the mobile phone DJI fly app while connected via USB C with RC2 controller during a flight? Thank you in advance

IATA defines airport security chargeable battery threshold level in watthour. No DJI battery is even close. However some powerbanks might I can tell ❤️

Those Norwegian shots look even better thsn the shots I got of the back of my local supermarket. Thats saying something too. I had Dumpsters, rusty shopping carts and some nasty seagulls fighting over a piece of spoiled chicken. Ahh well. I will show you up next week. I have a flight over a huge pile of old tires planned. Im glad you brought up the battery issue, I find that its the most obvious ongoing issue is battery don't hold a charge. I find if i don't use the batteries for week after a full charge they discharge to three bars or even two bar, I've been caught out many times. I use batteries a lot in my trade work and store batteries and don't loose charge this quick these DJI. if i got battery like this id take it back for a replacement.
As far as i know this is a programmed "Feature" of the smart Battery to prevent it from being on a high chargelevel if Not used. To keep it healthy

Lithium cells don’t like to be stored long-term at full charge very much, so the boards in all recent DJI batteries will automatically discharge to around 70% if not used for a few days to improve capacity retention in storage. Unfortunately you can’t turn this off so keep this in mind and always check the charge levels before flying.

Sometimes you truly don’t have to necessarily “ update “ your drone if you don’t need it . It will still run just fine . Unless the updates are truly massive . I have to double check what the updates are before I go ahead to do that .

Hey, about the Lexar SD cards you actually got it wrong. On that card it says that the reading speed is 205MB/s, and writing speed is 150MB/s instead of the opposite which you put in your video.

Withwaypoints, I saw someone who had a problem... They flew the path, setting waypoints and then set the start to the final waypoint... basically trying to get the drone to fly from the end point to the first... It didn't work... My question is, should that work and if so maybe you could test it... My drone is in for repairs at the moment... no I never crashed it.. it got crushed (don't ask) so I cannot test this or update to the latest firmware.
A gave up trying to use way points.. so hopefully this issue has been resolved.. great video..😊

hi there i noticed that about low battery comming up at about 14% never did before always at 10% happy flying
I was also in Norway last week, e.g. At Trollstige viewpoint, Geiranger, Dalsnibba and Åndalsnes.
The photos and videos taken with the DJI Mini Pro 4 are amazing.

Got mine today. Got activation error. They say I have to send it back to be fixed. Tons of people on the forum are angry. I wouldn't buy one right now. One guy was even complaining that they want him to pay for the repair. What is going on dji?
I got the battery hub and I also got another battery so 4 in total. The drone can recharge it's own battery so 4 it is
180 pano and wide angle pano mode did never work with my mini 4 pro. I thought it's a bug and they will fix, but now I see it works with your drone. Time to send my drone in.

There was a waypoint bug in DJI Fly v. 1.13.8. It was corrected in v. 1.13.9 :)

That update resulted in the RC2 failing and rebooting after half a minute of flight. Tried for a few flights then did factory reset. It’s still failing but less often. Very frustrating as before the update it was A Ok.

Hi noticed you said you were having some problems with spot light mode. I was out with my air3 last night filming a cruise liner. Could not get spot light or poi to lock on to boat. Had to use quick shots and circle. Great content 👌 👏
I have found its been very jumpy and not smooth at all recently which its the whole point of it
@DMProductions yeah when the drone is trying to lock on it's jumping all over the place same problem I'm having. Hopefully a new firmware update will sort this out glad I'm not the only on. Thanks for your reply 👍

I always use the DJI Assistance app for updates. Following your video and I can't find the style setting under white balance.
I think "Optimal" RTH is useful if flying up may hit tree branches, or other obstacles - I'm not brave enough to try that though!

A couple of weeks ago, on holiday in Pornichet (Brittany) my M4P, in Spotlight, lost me. All I did was break into a run on the beach. It became embarrassing, because my wife had the controller. She had no idea what to do. The issue wasn’t it hovering. The issue was it focusing on other people on the beach sunbathing. I was about 150m from my wife and had to leg it over to her to retrieve the drone. I was unimpressed and embarrassed as the beach is a high responsibility area (I can’t remember the exact term) and the controller warns of this before take off.
Listen to your warnings.. that's what they are for
You pointed out the reduction to around 11-12mins time remaining after doing a few minor tasks, do you have a feel for what that would be with a plus sized battery? I like the idea of the mini 4 but that flight time is somewhat depressing and would restrict the capability somewhat if you considered having to fly any distance with a head wind or either outbound or (worse still) inbound legs before performing a task.
yes it is restrictive, in Norway it was very windy in places so you have to get the shots really fast and use sports mode a lot to get to places, I don't have the plus battery but I would imagine it would be similar to the Air 3 which in real world is around 30-35 mins flight time.

I use optimal RTH in the summer, in my home environment. I've tested it really thorough, and trust it. Not in winter though, too many bare trees, and not in unfamiliar environments either. Some folks have done amazing RTH trips under tree canopies, but I dont have the courage for it (the wallet, really)

Hi Darren I have another question. When filming in POI or freestyle in video recording on the Air 3 and Mini 4 Pro for 8 mins in 4K 30fps the recording stops at 5.25 min and creates a 2nd divide in the recording to complete the video of 8mins, is there any way to stop this happening to get a continue video play of 8 mins?
also I have notice video Cache is on! should this be turned on or off, and what Maximum should have this if have it turned on?
and notice another setting on the Air 3 set as off should this be changed on, under Camera, Frame Guide, the screen size, What does this do? Thanks Ben
Which backpack are you using? Those Velcro dividers could be handy.

Ur lucky, over where I am I don’t have the sharpness tool. The option just isn’t even there. I can’t seem to learn all these cool things that you do so I mainly just use it for flying😅. The other day I couldn’t even find my photos. For some reason there not in album. I had to dig around and eventually found some of them but I noticed some were missing and bit keeps saving things to my controller even tho I have it set to only save to sd. I also couldn’t watch any videos I had taken as it kept saying something about formatting my sd card but idk what that means. Kinda sad I have this really cool tool but I just can’t seem to figure it out,wish I was more tech savvy. Sorry for the rant I guess I’m just bored lol

First: On Pano, is there any settings to get a pano to spread out from my selected position when shooting? I shoot storms and clouds, when I am doing a pano I want everything around MY focal point, not horizon. It goes back to the horizon or I think actually lower than the horizon as the center of the shoot. This is killing my weather panos, I am missing all of the upper structure. I know that there is an upper limit but we are not hitting that.
Second: My compass is way off, it doesnt matter if I calibrate. If I am looking straight south I am showing the compass to be SSE, if I set to look at the compass direction as straight south I am looking SSW. I know there is a little difference between road N and S and real compass N and S but not that much.
Third: when hovering the drone seems to always be drifting right. Any reason?
Forth. I started doing hyperlapse, I have done a half dozen, some are pretty steady, a few has had the horizon waving like I am on a ship in high seas.
Fifth: like many others my drone surges all over the place at times, seems like it is overreacting. This is the mini 4 Pro, I swapped to it within a month of buying the mini 3. It was much more stable.
Thanks for any answers. I would love to get them to allow a setting to do pano's from our selected center point. It would be a game changing setting IMO...

I dropped my RC2 controller and the screen has a hairline crack on the glass all the way from the bottom to the top (on the right side of the screen). Everything works perfectly and there isnt any damage to the display. Do you have any repair recommendations or maybe a screen protector to not let any outside elements into the screen? I have the DJI protection plan but that seems to only be for the drone itself and not the controller. I spoke to DJI customer care and they just requested the controller to be shipped to them and then they will assess charges etc, which isnt ideal
Hey, you can get protectors on amazon if it's not too bad, I can't imagine DJI Charging much for a replacement screen tho and they are pretty fast at replacing

Footage looks great on the RC then looks absolutely rubbish or hit and miss on bigger computer screen. Is this normal with mini 3 pro? Are the bigger drones like classic or air 3 more consistent compared to mini 3?

My after update is over responding and cannot hover stable in air, also during fly struggle a lot even with a weak wind, also app is crushing, cannot use manual tracking, when using circle drone is always reseting/losing connection,also video feed is stuttering, please do not install it.
I think you need to get your drone checked, you seem to always have washed out video?, my drone video always looks like video that you say has been touched up on yours, don't need no app.

Off topic but what ISO do you shoot video with for best motion blur?
Shutter speed is what you need, have a low shutter speed with nd filter , aim for double frame rate so 4k30 = 1/60 shutter iso around 100 but increase shutter slightly to get correct exposure

On holiday in Lloret de Mar Spain. Got issues that I can’t use mastershots because the software keeps telling me it will exceed maximum height. Lowering does not help. More people having issues with this?
Is that over 120m ? Under should work but Mastershots does some high shots so try it lower down

It doesn't have to take longer to take shots at 48MP. Just make sure you have a fast SD card. Et voila, problem solved.
I use the fastest SD cards and you also have a noticeable lag when using 48mp
