this is what i saw as an 11 year old on Aug 4 1979 in toronto (exactly 42 years ago) ..it was life changing ⚡️⚡️🔥🔥💥💥 i wish i could say i remained a die hard fan after “creatures” but we all know where it went from there 🙄🙄🙄
The part with Ace at the beginning of the song seems strangely familiar...I think it might've been used on one of those 1979 TV news clips. I'd like to see God of Thunder from this show...the blood on the Dynasty/Unmasked tours was pretty intense. It's weird when I see newer footage of Gene doing that on recent tours it doesn't really excite me at all, but if I see "new" old footage it still gives me the goosebumps.
On the recent tours, Gene has looked ridiculous. And by "recent", I mean since they put the makeup back on. I remember watching a video of one of thoe shows I saw in 96, and thinking, "This doesn't look as cool as it did in 1977".
This might be indeed from one of those TV things, either the 20/20 piece, or the 321 Contact or...what was that other kids show that did a thing on Kiss? Hot Sub Sandwich or something like that?
@@mkl62 No, Kids Are People, Too, they just did an interview, and they showed the Unmasked promo film (which was really just the Dynasty promo film, with shots of Eric Carr replacing the shots of Peter). I think Hot Sub Sandwich was the show where they did the "behind the scenes" thing, where they interviewed their wardrobe lady and I think their sound guy, and then they showed a montage of different live clips.
This was the end really, up until then kiss were exiting and powerful but I think the writing was on the wall when Paul turned up in his grandma's wardrobe and Peter started wearing fuzzy green theme park cuddley toys on his shoulders. I loved the Dynasty album but Jesus, the tour was a shit show.
