These backgrounds are unlocked from playing both Black Ops 2 and/or Modern Warfare 3. You get one unlock for playing each game. 1 unlock for a prestige in each game, and 1 unlock for Max Prestige in each game. Max Prestige is Prestige 10 in Modern Warfare 3.
Both games are also currently offering Double XP to help you rank up quickly to get these unlocks. Finally if you want to rank up quickly, Double XP that you can purchase from the MW3 shop stacks with this Double XP!

I don't have my backgrounds either for ps4 and they show on the game be there are locked if we have to wait for a patch how long do u think it would take to fix this problem
I got the prestige master background from bo2 and am not even a prestige master yet am only a prestige 10
I can't access the Elite Backgrounds either. I played all the past COD games to max prestige on Xbox 360. Now on Xbox One I can't use the backgrounds for Ghosts. I am using the same account too.

I recently just got COD GHOST on the ps4 and I am 10th prestige on MW3 and Max prestige on BO2, but I played those on ps3 of course, but I don't have any backgrounds for them. WTF
I just hit 10th prestige on mw3 and fhe backround still hasn't unlocked. Help :/
Why can't I get my master presteige background on ghosts ps4?
It must be a global problem with ghost it's shows for me that I haven't even played a single cod game before ghost so nothing is unlocked. And I've played them all on the Xbox version and have checked elite multiple times.

First, I've never prestiged in MW3, didn't want to, but had on another account. Secondly, I'm using the same PSN account I used on both black ops 2 and mw3, and I can't get any of the unlocks from those games on the PS4 version of Ghosts, both of those games having been played on PS3. Is it glitched?
I was master prestige in BO2 and i was prestige 16 in MW3, yet the backgrounds are still locked. I think it's because of a bug or something.
Yeah I think so too, because several people are reporting this unfortunately.
I am maxed in bo2 and over 1 pres in mw3 and they arent unlocked. I dont get how to unlock them
Ok, I think I figured out how these comments work now!
Anyway, I'm not sure why they didn't unlock. are you checking the correct place? You have to go to backgrounds, and then scroll over to 'Elite Backgrounds'
same problem here. i just played sp and mp mode in MW3 but the background is still locked (BO 2 the same)
Haselnus45 1. Were you at 10th prestige Before Ghosts released? 2. Did you check by scrolling through your backgrounds to the 'Elite Backgrounds' tab?
***** Yes i was 10th prestige before ghosts came out. I also played SP and MP in BO2 after i saw that the backgrounds are still locked....nothinghelped so far. It seems to be a global problem and we have to wait for a patch...the whole game needs a patch -.-
i dont got them im prestige 17 at mw3 and prestige master at bo2 (steam)
have you tried my suggestions? Make sure you are looking under elite backgrounds. Are they locked? Also make sure you have created a cod account in the barracks!
