I have a no-touch high-dollar Moen Kitchen faucet $600. It sprung a leak on the pull-out hose during the height of the vid. Moen has a lifetime warranty. It took just a bit to get a customer service rep on the phone. The hose was out of stock and they had no idea when it would be back in stock. Therefore, they sent me an entirely new replacement faucet. They are pretty good to deal with.
My brother found out that Moen doesn't even care if you're the original owner. Lol
I've never had problems with Delta faucets. I've installed 20 or so in the last 15 years. I do like Kohler.

Thanks! You saved me aggravation. I bought a Delta faucet and the instructions were awful and I wondered about the plastic lines. I found your video and decided to just return it and buy a Moen.

It's been thirty years since I had to install or replace a kitchen faucet. I was surprised to see the new type of fittings that are being used now. The concept is the same, but there's more crap you have to by to make the installation. That's progress for ya.

@@PipeDoctor Exactly! I got fired from a plumbing company 2 months ago, over a delta faucet replacement. The piece of junk was broken in the box. Refused to install faucet, told customer to return it and get a Moen. Customer complained I was lazy and too stupid to install faucet. Told'em to stick it and left.
Thanks for the video. Replaced a 20 year old dripping Delta faucet with those cheap vinyl tube supply lines you talk about and installed a Pfister Indira faucet which included high quality flexible supply lines and brass fittings. Pfister makes it an easy and straight forward installation. It was actually more complicated removing the Delta faucet than installing the Pfister faucet. I agree it is better to spend an extra $100 for more solid supply lines and fittings. The Pfister is much better for controlling the water temperature and volume.
Looks like your faucet upgrade was a real plumbing adventure! Who knew changing a faucet could be more complicated than removing one, right?
in lieu of cutting the factory tubing and using the nylon ferrule. I usually just loop the supply lines and connect them. the loops are usually large and stay up high if the supply comes out of wall.
floor supply just bow them out to one side.
just as easy to do that, and ends up the same as using noodle hoses(flexible supplies on non tube faucets).

Delta when on display at big retail business needs to have signage Delta products are known to leak while still in the box. Just a POS product line. Proud to have installed Moen as our standard faucets for all applications.
I use Frederick York faucets here in canada, top notch quality
Yea it’s made specifically for our largest supply house -Wolseley mechanical - their product feels as heavy as case iron. I usually don’t install them unless they have granite or marble countertop vanities from how sheiky they are lol

Agreed, Delta quality is incredibly disappointing. We like to use Wolverine Brass faucet fixtures. I have to say very very quality build. All solid brass built to last haven’t ever had any issues with them. Also, where’s the trap for that kitchen sink! Lol likely in basement under kitchen?
Is the kitchen L shape drain line should be a p-trap ?

Mike those cheap delta faucets usually have the guide nut that goes on the end of the mounting stud to protect the spray hose when it's pulled in and out. I see that delta didn't have it? That hose will shred lol
I installed same one in our mobile home and now the water pressure is low. Any ideas?
The plastic ferrules are there in case you cut the supplies to shorten them,you should not use brass ferrules on plastic supplies because they can cut the plastic causing a weak connection and possible blowout,for me I never use a plastic ferrule without a brass sleeve inserted into the end of the pipe.
It is OK to use the brass nuts.

To anyone watching this you are better off leaving the factory PEX tubing intact and throwing away the plastic ferrules they provide contrary to what Delta tells you in the instructions. In the past year I've seen 2 homes that ended up with catastrophic flood damage and both times the pex lines had been cut and plastic ferrules used.
I installed a couple Delta faucets on houses I flipped over the past 2 years. Installed a Moen yesterday in my house. Moen installed so much easier. On the Delta, I was also confused about the ferrets used if you cut the pipe. 🤨

What’s going to keep the plastic tubing from blowing apart without the ferrules in place? You need plastic ferrules when using plastic tubing in a compression fitting 🤷♂️
had delta years ago(like 20 years) and it still works fine. but after listening to you I doubt I buy another one, as the quality must of gone downhill!
I’m doing a warranty claim on a moen kitchen faucet I installed in 2013. Cartridge is sticking and some corrosion going on. 8 seperate boxes being sent to me free of charge. Not 1 but 8 packages…makes sense. 😀

many would still opt for the whole faucet, especially if they was paying a plumber for return visit/s to fix it.
I myself have replaced tons of moen faucets that just needed a cartridge, but the people wanted a different design/finish so they opted for a whole faucet instead of warranty parts repair. I try and stick with using one brand of faucet myself(moen), but end up installing whatever they buy, including cheap offal, which I forewarn will fail in no time(which they do).

After watching your Video, I can see why you have trouble with customer service. It is hard to deal with someone who knows it all.
Delta sucks I always recommend Wolverine or Price Pfister as they have a lifetime warranty and ship out overnight so you have it the next day
Had the same garbage happen to me. They say it's the cartridge. Buts it's broken inside the faucet body. Delta is total crap

Big box stores sale really cheap delta faucets. But delta is getting ridiculous on there faucets the shower valves are a lot nicer. If you buy the higher quality delta they are nice products but very expensive the cheaper delta products are straight up junk.

Most likely the hose is leaking all those pull out spout kitchen faucets suck with that hose and don’t waste your time trying to by a universal replacement hose none of them work
