@@Crappiere it's been confirmed in a 92y panel he did with Bill Hader. This was the first sketch John wrote with Bill and Seth Meyers and this line completely floored them. It's very likely that this sketch is what cemented them as lifelong friends.

John Hamm is so underrated as a comedian.
I forget which cast member it was who told the story. But they said they switched the character on on him at the last minute. I forget who it was supposed to be originally, but they never rehearsed with him doing James Mason. When they told him, he just said no problem, and then knocked it out of the park.

@@steph13326ify im certainly not taking anything away from John. But you underestimate how many kids grew up watching Rich Little and lots of other talented impersonators. It's probably where John got his imitation from. I've been imitating James Mason since I was a little kid. As well as dozens of others. There are some perks to watching tv for 60 years.

catalinacurio no house of wax was the film where he plays a sculptor that was burned by his partner to get the insurance money. And he makes his new sculptures with victims he kills by melting wad on their bodies.
@@catalinacurio Yes and like Cassandra Lewis says he dips his female victims in vats of wax lol. This is all so he can make manikins of them and display them in his museum!! It's so creepy because it takes place in the 1800s...1 scene in particular used to really bother me it's when he puts one woman he really likes on a stretcher type device where he shackles her down by her ankles and wrists it just terrified me 😳 he puts her in the hot wax naked you can see the fear on her face I just never forgot it... Well if you ever get a chance to see it , enjoy!!😉
These are definitely some of my favorite Bill Hader moments on the show. Vincent Price and the Keith Morrison impression are definitely in my top five Bill Hader sketches.
