Retro is Cool is the actual 'brand' and they make really high quality aftermarket shells for a lot of different consoles. I have a clear blue one for the N64, translucent smoke black for PS1, clear red for Dreamcast. They are currently tooling up to make a batch of Gamecube cases that should be available in May.
They should be looking into making controller cases too 😤 pisses me off to play a black dreamcast with a white controller. BJÄRK!

Lol yeah I would change the title to shell review from Aliexpress. No one’s getting a funtastic N64 for Under $100 like ever lol. My Jungle green N64 was $188 and that didn’t even come with the jungle green controller, just a grey one. So I had to buy the jungle green controller separately which was about $60 because it had a good stick and in very good condition. I paid over $200 for a “Full set” without the box basically. I mean I did also get the grey controller and Golden Eye and a save pak with it so I think it was worth it. $248 for all of it. Still need a Expansion pak tho… which is like almost $60-$80 now
It’s nice that they include the front badge now. Mine didn’t come with it. I also took the time to replace the power led with a slow color changing led. And did the blue shell. Very happy with it
Damn, that reshell looks really nice haha makes me wonder if people actually do that with original consoles and resell at a higher cost. I personally couldn't tell.

I got the translucent blue one and replaced the shell on an N64 given to me by a friend. I already had an N64 I cleaned up and was using in its original form, but I figured it'd be slightly easier (and way cooler looking) to just use a new shell on this one. However, slightly disappointing the shell does not say Nintendo since the decal for the front logo already does.
I've bought a couple from them. I gotta say. They're pretty damn good. Who woulda thought lol.

Thanks for letting me know about DK, cus I bought a Dreamcast set from them and immediately took it apart to put in a ssd drive
It had a 4 inch diameter fur ball of brand new carpet fibers under the housing for the CPU, under the disc drive, and stuffed into the inside shell of the fan...
It had not been refurbished at all, had 4 Transisters swollen and leaking on main board and a short in the controller port so that only Player one port worked and the dreamcast would shut off if you put a controller into ports 2 thru 4...
Just a real shit show for 400 dollars bud

Looks good. I would only go this route if your current console has damage or chips. Otherwise it sucks knowing it’s missing the Nintendo badges and stickers

That desk will brake if I put my stuff on it LOL. I found that exact same purple N64. I paid 20 bucks no controller or hookups?. But I found them all eventually & piece them all together it's complete now.

So the console shell comes with a Nintendo 64 Badge for the front but blows it by not actually having the actual Nintendo logo on the oval on the top half of the shell. Kind of half ass if you ask me. (nothing you did wrong but they blew it)
I think it must be a legal thing. See the way the badge was taped onto the outside of the box?
I have bought replacement shells for various models of Game Boy, and they all had the Nintendo stickers, badges etc taped to the outside.
My guess is that they have the shells stored in a warehouse without any Nintendo branded parts, and only add those in at the last minute when they are shipping them, probably at a different location.
That way, if Nintendo manages to persuade the authorities to raid the factory, the shells won't be confiscated.
