Remember, pet care is constantly evolving as we learn more, so never let yourself get stuck in an old way of doing things just because that's the way something's "always been done". Never stop changing and bettering yourself for your pets.

this video really had me sobbing while i picked up my sleeping babies under me. i havent had them for longer than three months, but i cant imagine my life without them. this video has taught me its okay if i make mistakes. because in the end im trying my best. i hope i continue to learn for my ferrets sake as i learned a lot from this video itself as I do from every video i watch and read. all that matters to me right now is that they're safe and happy- and im never ever letting them go. thank you kenya

I’m so sorry for the loss of Luna. I loss one of my girls, Jazz, in August of 2020, but the pain is still there. I also have a little shelf with all of her favorite toys and her ashes. I hung up pictures of her in my ferret bedroom and they all still walk over to her and say hi. I understand what you mean about the guilt, but try not to blame yourself. You gave her such an amazing life and that’s what you have to focus on.
I got some cute stuff for Jazz’s memorial that really help me in remembering how happy she was. I made a little scrapbook of her best photos. I also got an embroidery hoop of her and a wood burn ornament of her. They hang right by her shelf and it helps to see her happy face when I’m feeling down. Stay Strong ❤️

I've had ferrets on and off since I moved out of my mom's house .. I felt this void of the beginning of the school year and went to look for a furry that needed to be rehomed. Instead of one we adopted 3 .. And they have brought so much joy to my life.. So much so I had that feeling of I needed just one more. And watching your videos have helped so much with certain things I didn't really realize. First one was about the water bowls instead of a bottle..
And the scheduled out and in the cage amazing and these little smarties know what time to go to bed and if I am a little late with the morning routine I get looks and tapping on doors. Like let's go..
I took some of your ideas with liter boxes and when they are out I have lower cardboard boxes layered with liter and paper. They love it and actually will choose those instead of the ones in the cage of it's open ..
And oh the bonding.. each one is different but they all know I'm the mommy.
Watched Joe Pickett and didn't see enough fuzzy butts. They are stars!!!
I haven't been able to see it yet because it's NOT AVAILABLE IN CANADA AND I'M SOOOO MAD!!!!!!!

Great video . I also teared up sigh we all miss Luna with YOU. I've lost pets and rescued more . Not a replacement but AS you said it teaches us . I now have five ferrets and lost 3 last Nov miss THEM dearly ! Shout out to my BABIES and Luna . Dip our BABIES

I’m just now seeing this (CZcams stopped recommending your videos to me? :((( I just randomly thought of you and came to catch up) but thank you so much for including your insights about losing Luna. I also gained my first angel Emmy in 2021 who began my love for ferrets, and it’s still so hard to deal with her death. I feel your pain but like you said, we’ll get through it together. Your words really helped me ❤️❤️
I'm just sitting here crying now... people who have been following my recent adventure with one of my ferrets Daenerys on the discord know that she decider, randomly, for the first time ever, to just eat a bunch of fabric. Never did before.... no warning.... hasn't since. Two emergency surgeries in and one advisal to humanely euthanize.... and we decided to give it 48 hours after that... after she had gone septic... just to see because I was assured she was not in current pain. By the skin of her teeth she fought her way back and is still with us. Still not out of the woods yet but I am grateful for every minute more I have with my gurl where she is happy.

Hey, found your channel recently and just wanted to take the time to say thanks. As someone who likes to be as researched as possible on how to properly care for new animals your videos have and will continue to be invaluable.
I'm sure my future ferrets will thank you too.. in a few months anyway when I'm 100% sure I'm prepped for them :)
I ended up using arm and hammer feline pine litter. I used many different paper litters and the pine one I find just works better it terms of smell. I still wanna make a layer to sift it in the litter box so I don't waste litter when cleaning it out. But so far my favorite so far.

If anyone wants to try something that is different for their ferrets try human quality duck breast available at supermarkets,that is what we done for ours here meaning Australia
We had regrets when we put a large ball pit in their cage (which has always been in our bedroom). The sound of a ferret wiggling through balls at 2am 😳 😂

Hii, I'm getting my first ferret baby and i just want to know about windows, are u supposed to keep it closed at all times?
Natural light is okay for a few hours but you should invest in a heavy duty cage cover(or if you know how to sew you can make one yourself with your choice in fabric!) artificial light can lead to adrenal disease (a form of cancer) ferrets prefer to sleep in the dark anyways hope that helps

Is wysong ferret food good or there freeze dried food
i don’t know for sure but i seen people say it’s not good and causes diarrhea. For the wysong food
I recommend not using the Wysong it isn't balanced and has some extra not good ingredients! I personally recommend feline naturals lamb and salmon recipe as the only ingredients are meat and some vitamins and its well priced compared to other brands!
i really want to get salmon oil for my ferrets but I'm worried they wont like it because they dont like any treats.
Same here!! Lucky I can get one of them to even eat!! My Sammi thinks I amtrying to poison her if I introduce any new treats or food!!
