But I would also like to point out that Green was also crucial in that stretch. He closes out from a mile to O'Neal and makes him go over the shot clock. When Luka is swarmed and has noone to pass, Green is the one to make a run so Luka can pass the ball. He catches a huge defensive rebound. And he makes 3/4 free throws. Green is really a perfect fit to play next to Doncic.

Mavs fan. The defence is lottery level right now (114.4 Defensive rating - 23rd in the league) but offensively the Mavs are elite (120.7 offensive rating - 5th in the NBA). Luka and Kyrie (All-NBA players) are surrounded by shooters (THJ, Williams, Green, Kleber, Hardy). 2-0 with Grizzlies and Bulls up next. Should be an exciting season!

It was clearly Luka AND JOSH GREEN that won the game. Doncic doing the impossible and Josh coming up with stop after stop, the critical rebound at the end and making three free throws in a row after missing three. He’s the unsung hero of this game.
