- Today we are doing a blind taste test to see which company has the best peanut butter: Great Value, JIF or Peter Pan.
* The Great Value was $2.18. 2 Tbsp. = 180 calories
* The JIF was $2.48. 2 Tbsp. = 190 calories
* The Peter Pan was $2.32. 2 Tbsp. = 210 calories

Jif has always been my favorite. You guys should try the Honey roasted peter pan pb its great!

Good morning Miss.Tami😀 I grew up eating Peter Pan p.b. but when I got married I had to switch to Jif per my husbands p.b. of choice.😞 However I am on a weight loss journey now and I eat PB 2 now. I think it tastes the best, maybe cause we mix it up fresh? Peanut Butter is a trigger food for me, as well as chips and dip. I have to be careful. Especially if the chips are folded over.....yum, yum ! Have a nice day😃

Can you compare Wal-Mart all natural peanut butter to make brand? I love the Wal-Mart brand way better then Skippy and Jif all natural peanut. I'd like to see what you think.

I like a more stiff pb! I can't stand oily pb. JIF is my fave! YAY rock that Diet Dr. Pepper Kevin! You know I switched to decaf coffee so I could still drink my Diet DP while I'm Preggo!
That is a nice thing about diet DP, and I agree, we do not like the natural PB for that reason.
It has been a long time since we have had brand name peanut butter. We have been using a generic brand for way too long. We love peanut butter, but after a while, it gets a bit boring. Thanks for sharing. Maybe someday when we need to buy some, we will choose Jif.
I have used PB2 for years consistently, and I love it!
We have thought about getting some but haven't had a chance to yet. I think we are just trying to get rid of what we already have....lol

I don't know if these ones taste different than the ones I've ate before but I've tried the Natural peanut butter varieties from all 3 brands before and my opinion of those was that the Great Value(Walmart) Natural PB tasted not quite right(i only ate half the jar),the Peter Pan Natural tasted artificial and the Jiff Natural being the one I buy all the time tastes good.

It doesn't taste "natural" it tastes like a sugary dessert! Lol, I'm sure you would love them. Especially cookie nookie. You would be astounded that it is natural.
Peter Pan and Great value are the same lmao. Sara Lee and ConAgra make Walmart foods. One of the makes Peter Pan.
Personally I grew up with Peter pan so I enjoy it the most
I did this about 10 years ago, but with Skippy instead of the generic brand. It wasnt blind test but i was unbiased and Skippy was my favorite
We didn't include Skippy because it tastes totally different. That said, it IS good peanut butter.

I thought it was originally launched as *Jiffy* and at some point they changed it to *Jif* But it seems that, at least in this reality, there was never a name change and it has always been Jif...
We have always known it as JIF and Jiffy as the brand that sells corn muffins.

This is funny because I was doing some research due to being unable to buy Jif due to the recall. Supposedly Peter Pan and Great Value peanut butter are both made by the same company- ConAgra.
Yes! They normally use their own recipes even though they are made under the same roof.

I didn't know that. I've heard that the only difference with this private label stuff was the label. Curious about where you heard that.
@@davidv6588 We were given a tour through the Screamin' Sicilian Pizza factory. We saw boxes of several other brands in their factory. They told us that even though they make pizza for the other brands, those brands have their own recipes for their sauces and such.

Last Christmas I made my peanut butter fudge and I had a hard time telling the difference between Great Value and Jif. I know I don't like Peter Pan and Skippy.

I think peanut butter packaging says it needs to be refrigerated after opening!

I think the natural peanut butters that only list just peanuts and salt as the ingredients(usually in glass jars not always though probably) suggest refrigerated.
That's because since they don't have any thing added so the peanut oil forms on the top of the peanut butter.
