i just had a conversation with my supervisor about my schedule changing so i can have Sundays off. TLDR i work four 10+ hour shifts W, Thur, F, Sun, and i wanted to trade sun with sat. I was told verbatim, "If you have 3 days off in a row that would be too good." yea it's called a weekend. didn't know those we're just too good of a thing for us. If i didn't have a car payment I would have quit on the spot.

I was invited to the interview, and when I got there it was a GROUP interview with all the job candidates. About a half dozen or more of us were herded in wearing suits and ties and made to fight to death in front of the interviewers.
I have nice management at five guys where I work, however today we have five guys corporate coming to inspect the store tomorrow afternoon. What should I tell corporate if they have any questions or concerns 😊
About that woman who took a fifth job in order to finance a European vacation : I can't for the life of me understand people who want to travel to Europe that bad. I mean the US is a big country, surely there are nice places to spend some time to rest there too. That being said, I guess everyone is entitled to their own dreams and aspirations.
If they give you a toy they can claim a tax writeoff. If they give you a raise they'll have to pay soc security tax on it. It's a win win for the corporation to give employees toys.

MS - get your naturalized citizenship and apply for a govt IT job. The jobs are easier and will help you save for retirement. Hardest part is getting in (long application process) and the fact that maybe you’d have to move from Tempe to Phoenix or something. You don’t have to have an IT degree, hiring is skills based. Think about it.
Having lots of education, but needing to spend no more than a dollar on ramen for the day, is why Americans are leaving the country to go to lower cost of living countries. Of course, that screws over the poor in those countries, but lots of Americans have realized they need to get out.
