MCA's lyric "Beer drinkin', breath stinkin', sniffin' glue" was sampled by eazy e on the song Boyz N Tha Hood
Amazing 🙏🏽
I always say that without Beasties there would have been no gangsta rap just cause of this sample
@@josephramirez3688indeed 😂
Dude. DUDE. Doood. Right fucking on.
It takes a lot for an old head like me to hear these songs with fresh ears. I appreciate your reaction videos. It's called gratitude, and that's why!
You are A Righteous Brother.
Thank you so much 🙏🏽❤️
In Canada we don't have White Castle. The first I heard of the place was from Beastie Boys songs, and they mentioned it often. During a family trip to the U.S. I convinced my dad that if we found a White Castle we would stop at it. And we did! We didn't know the burgers were bascially sliders so I think they thought we were weird when we each ordered just one burger. And I got a large drink that came with a plastic commemorative White Castle cup, which I still have maybe 35 years later. I've never been again, but if I had the chance I definitely would eat there again, but this time I'd get more burgers in my order.
Sliders are gassss
I thought most white castles only sold 3 sliders when you ordered one. They were all attached when you got them and had to ripe them apart. We didn’t have one up in Boston at the time but plenty of trips to Brooklyn and I had to convince my family to go there instead of all the other awesome places to eat. The food was so good and it was cheap
@@vicegrips188That's very possible. We went a long time ago so I dont know if things might have changed. There was also a few of us in the family so maybe we ordered three of them and each of us had one. I don't remember much about the taste but it was a fun time. And respect to my dad for humouring my restaurant request.
This video makes me think they had a wild night then woke up and realized they needed to shoot a video by noon. So they just grabbed the camera and a buddy and ta-da!
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Gotsta go ride this Beastie wave! Endless classics each with a diff vibe look theme and beat!
Fsctssss love it
yes More Beastie Boys!! I'll always be here for Beasties. :) Big love from Florida!
Thank you🙏🏽
+1 Treasure Coast Homie!!!!!
CRASH! Nice one. Don't forget 'Cookie Puss' a track they did that became very popular in the clubs, it was this track that sent them down the rap Road. It is a weird track but important in their history. Keep em coming Stax. ❤
Bettttt thank you
Yeah when they recorded Cookie Puss they were an active punk band but they caught the hip-hop fever. One of the lines is "these pussy crumbs are making me itch". Also there a Steve Martin (comic actor) clip that's like "blibbibbity blibbbibbibitty"
Yeah, that was the first time I heard the Beasties, on WLIR's "Shriek Of The Week" out of Long Island, NY
i learned about a year or two ago that when this was released, a Philly radio station mistakenly played the acapella version only, and all of Philly loved it and thought this was the real version. there was no beat in the verses, only on choruses. Questlove confirmed the story. if you havent heard the BB interview w Rick Rubin, its awesome.
🙏🏽🙏🏽‼️
Just downloaded it and it sounds great.
Check out beastie boys...An open letter to NYC...you might like that joint
Betttttt
Love this one. Probably the first Beastie song I heard after one of their earlier songs, "Cookie Puss", but this one has all kinds of history. It was the first "Licensed to Ill" single, released in spring '86 before the album dropped later that year. Look closely and you'll see cameos of Rick Rubin, co-producer/writer, and Russell Simmons, their first manager and creator of Def Jam, their first label. Also, I love seeing them so unpolished, young and obnoxious in this one. Lol Glad they groomed themselves up, later on, down the road. 😆
🔥🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
I’m lovin all the beastie love. May I suggest Sure Shot, Flowin Prose, Alive, Triple Trouble and Long Burn the Fire 🔥 I would also love to see your reaction to their movie Awesome! I F**ckin Shot That. They filmed their concert by handing out cameras to a bunch of fans in the crowd and let them record whatever they wanted then edited them all together. Best concert video ever imo!
I’ll check them all out for sure, maybe do the movie live🙏🏽🙏🏽
Such a good time. When I was young this band definitely helped me to just be myself and have fun. Thanks for the content and smiles.
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Man I've been listening to these guys since this album came out, and it's great to have a new set of ears on it. I was so young at the time that it was just skateboarding and partying music. We knew the lyrics, but didn't read into them like you're doing these days. I love the analysis as always! Keep it up!!
Thank you so much 🙏🏽
Thabk you Stax love your videos. Greatest beats n Bars. An endless catalog of bangers.
My fav group of all time.
Thank you for supporting 🙏🏽
Shout to O-E and Rice-a-Roni!😂
YEAAAAA🔥🔥🔥🔥
4:01- Rick Rubin, 5:12 - Russell Simmons -- RUSH Artist Mgmt & founders of Def Jam Recordings...
Beasties, always good🔥
🙏🏽🙏🏽🔥🔥
Ohhh you have just scratched the surface. I saw the Beastie Boys live 4 times, they are my all time favorite group! You need to do “Sure Shot” “Body Movin” (album version, not the music video which is a Fatboy Slim remix), “Remote Control” and “Jimmy James”!
Let’s goooo
You should listen to Beastie Boys, Skills to Pay the Bills. Live in Amsterdam.
Bettttt
Definitely. One of their best songs ever!
Some people made appearances here like Hurricane, the DJ and then Rick Rubin, producer. What a fun video including home video from the “early shows” on stage in a gym! ❤😂🎉😊
🔥🔥‼️
I saw an interview recently with DJ hurricane and they asked him what kind of white boy stuff did he get up to with the Beastie Boys and he said he broke his leg, skateboarding high on mushrooms 🍄 lol 😆
5:11 Ed Norton was a sewer worker on the 50's TV show THE HONEYMOONERS, Ted Knight was an actor in the comedy CADDYSHACK, as well as the bumbling newsman on THE MARY TYLER MOORE SHOW (from the 70's)
🔥🔥‼️‼️‼️
@@StaxReacts Actually, I amend that. They said MR. E.T.---obviously combining Mr. T with E.T.
You could get 4 brown, shopping bags full of tiny burgers with chopped, steamed white onions and 1,000 French fries at White Castle. Queens, NY!
Sounds gooood‼️‼️‼️
White Castle is like Krystal. Small square burgers, with mustard. Wait until you listen to this album enough to be prepped for the next song on the record. But you've done "Brass Monkey" already. Can't tell you how many times I plugged this cassette into my Walkman to listen over and over and over and over.
🙏🏽🙏🏽🔥🔥
❤ this song
🙏🏽🙏🏽🔥🔥
I remember asking my mom for a Tide shirt because of this video. Love your reactions ❤
Thank you so much 🙏🏽🔥
White Castle - Favorite order: 4 jalapeno cheeseburgers and a small order of fish nibblers. If you ever find yourself near one, definitely try it.
‼️‼️🔥🔥
100% we had fun in the 80s and could act goofy one minute then cool the next, lol. The whole point was to have fun and be yourself. I'm so glad I grew up in the 70s/80s rather than today. And yeah, social media is good for some stuff but I am really thankful we didn't have it when I was growing up. What we did, and it was a lot, isn't stuck somewhere on the internet to haunt us forever 🤣
Factsssss
people used to make fun of others back then too... difference is that back then nobody got their panties in a twist over it.
💯💯🙏🏽
B boys are lit.
Facttttssss
I 've got their first album on vinyl since it came out in the 80's but i have never seen this video. So funny. There are always new things to discover even if they are old
🙏🏽🔥🙏🏽
This is what everyone always yells out at the end of watching paul revere reactions lol, HOLD IT NOW.... HIT IT
🤣🤣🔥🔥🔥
Love the beasties.. love white castle once in a while.. cool videos my man
Thanks brother
Fantastic video 👍 Great reaction Stax 🔥
Thank you so much
Me and a couple homies did this song for our 8th grade talent show 💪
🙏🏽🙏🏽‼️‼️
I would never recommend "Body Movin'" to someone new to Beastie Boys, but now that you have made it through a good part of their catalog, I recommend it. The video is fun although kind of distracts me from how good the song is. It's repetitive at the beginning, but it's addicting. I love it. "Body Movin'" The Beastie Boys. :)
I’ll check it out for sure
Well said at the end there man! This song has such an incredible beat, Adrock made it. They explain how they wrote this song in the Apple+ movie Beastie Boys Story, you should check it out once you've heard their albums. You gotta react to Professor Booty.
Betttt
Dax... Mobb Deep and Kool G Rap..
The Realest, a hip hop classic
Bettttt
@@StaxReacts Dax, keep doing you dont change and become one of these "Bias" You Tube D-Riders and i know you understand what i mean. RESPECT
They were so funny 😂
Literally 😂😂😂
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
MY MAN!!! actually at this time this was their second hip hop single, right after their failing punk career, they all lived in 1 small apartment at the time and were playing out local then caught a huge break when somehow rick and russel got them on tour with modanna!!!! so at the time, CHEF BOY R DEE WAS LITERALLY COOLING ON THE POT!!!!! THEM BOYS WAS BROKE AF!!!!!
🔥🔥🔥
I've been waiting for this, soooo good, thanks for the react, makes my day!
🙏🏽🙏🏽‼️‼️
I think you were asking about " I am known to do the wop " in Intergalactic. You see it here at about 00:40.
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
That's their manager at 4:01, some kid named Rick Rubin.
Ahhhhh gotcha
Smoking dust in the back of the bus.
yeeees....love when you check out more Beastie Boys!
LETS GOOOOO🔥🔥🔥🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Check out Tap the bottle and twist the cap by young black teenagers
Bettttt
Alright Brother, I think it is time. I've been here since your first Beastie video... I don't want you to get burn out on it. I guess the question becomes do you want to keep things just to the hip hop world or do you want to branch out to music in general or do some test videos. Some examples of popular reaction videos are Far Over the Misty Mountain Cold- Geoff Castellucci Think of hearing a voice that will shock you; Wolf Totem - HU- Think of it like Mongolian Folk mixed with heavy metal; Pisces-Jinjer think pretty spears that gets taken over by a demon...
Thank you so much 🙏🏽🙏🏽‼️
White Castle is just like Krystal burgers if you’re in the south
💙💙💙
Punk meets rap
One of my friends little brother….
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
You better be near a bathroom for your first time eating white castle lol... it's great, but you will regret it if you're not... I love the chicken sliders, onion rings, and the breakfast sandwiches are FIRE!!!
Wowww sounds good lmaoooo
Beastie at the height of silly. Social media would kill them now. Also, jalapeno sliders at White Castle...
‼️‼️
they are so young and drunk in that vid
Righhtttt
Im loving your reaction espacially with eazy e so can you pls react to boyz n the hood by eazy
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
I mean, they were basically kids when they did this
💯💯‼️‼️
Hey, man. Been loving watching you go down the Beastie Boys rabbit hole. I really enjoy this particular... documentary is not the right word, but a piece on just how awesome and influential they were and still are.

I think you'll really dig it. And keep going. I always love seeing your reactions to the Beastie Boys. Also, their song "Body Movin'". I personally prefer the album version, but with the Fat Boy Slim remix, you get an incredible. Always enjoy your reactions 🤘
I’ll check it out for sure
Check out “Nonstop Disco Powerpack” you’ll like it
🙏🏽🙏🏽
Haha this one's funny. Mike D referenced the old film comic Jerry Lewis, kind of a clown persona type
🙏🏽🙏🏽
