- You no longer need to pay for antivirus software now that Microsoft Defender is working solid. Microsoft Defender is a free product that comes with Windows 10 and 11. It is a much better product than you may have experienced with Defender in the past and compares very well against other top name antivirus software solutions. See how you can enable it on your PC!

Happy New Year Wayne.
Thank you for this info. I truly love your channel.
Thanks for the Tip on Sunday..!! You have saved me beer for a month .. cheers !!!
Thank U very much for the Video ! very interesting.
Thanks for the video
Do those reports allow for the flaw in windows 10 defender and exploited folder exclusions?
Thanks for this
Very appreciated
Underrated channel
you are great sir
Love from india
Thanks for the tip! My Anti-virus is actually coming up for renewal this month, so good timing. We have Windows 10 and simply let the updates happen. Does that mean we have the newer version of Defender that is much better? Or do we have to do something special or get Windows 11?
Nothing special. It’s the same Defender with Windows 10.
I need to get window 11 Pro
If you enjoy a bricked pc then Windows Defender is for you! I would definitely get rid as soon as possible, before Microsoft do a update and turn your computer into a doorstop.
Great advice. We switched our company to Defender a year ago, and have seen no problems. Great advice, thanks Jason!
Good to know!
Did not know this. Say goodby to Norton.
Thank You, I really appreciate your vids. My only other comment is when I removed mcfy, there is still a bunch of mcfy stuff in my comp. Same thing with Norton. I hope I don't have to do a complete OS install again to get rid of all the stuff still there
You can use pc cleaner programs but many of them are suspect.
@@SeleTraining yea, I don't trust them at all. Thx again
I currently use PCMatic, which has been pretty darn good. Does this provide any performance and tuning, registry cleaning etc?
No, it’s just antivirus and malware protection.
Please excuse my ignorance, but may I keep my Webroot AND use the Windows Defender as well? Thank you.
Yes you can use both
On my computer went it comes to the Windows Security it shows different interface, so I can’t follow your directions. Would you please cover all possible options? I don’t have an option “scan periodically “, and I have to do scanning manually every time. Thank you.
It won’t show you the Defender options until you remove any other virus software first.
@@SeleTraining I don’t have any other antivirus program.
How do you feel about delving into Azure topics. The co. I work for sells a cloud solution. I'm learning Azure fundamentals. I set up a free account and can't even connect to the free Ubuntu vm I set up. LOL. Anyway, just noticed you haven't posted in a while and thought that might be a fresh series for you. I hope you're doing well.
Yes, I have been busy so not much posted on my channel. The problem with Azure is that it is a very specific topic and I try to stay with more general topics to appeal to a larger group.
@@SeleTraining no worries. there is a lot to it. 😀

Hi sir, I have a problem.I can't install 32-bit programs on Windows 11 with 64-bit systems
Check this out: appuals.com/how-to-install-32-bit-software-on-64-bit-windows/
Fascinating but can you set Microsoft Defender as prime and a subscribed and paid for 2 year program as a backup, eg if updating Defender I opine, for I have 2 running on my Tab PC?
You can only have Defender as the primary or choose another as primary and make Defender the backup. But no real need to combine them since Defender is really able to replace any other antivirus software solution.
❤
What about Malware Bytes?
Can we get a refund if we cancel the sub before 48 hours ?
I mainly use Windows Defender as well, but there is one thing to keep in mind: Unlike most commercial Anti Virus software, Microsoft Defender (commercial version) has no AI and relies on an internet connection to keep itself updated on a daily basis. So in case your PC often has no internet connection (for whatever reason), then a 3rd party solution might be better still. (Many of them do use AI, and AI doesn't rely on internet connection on a daily basis like Microsoft Defender does.) Having said that, Microsoft Defender will still be the way to go for 90% of the cases of course.
True but any updates would require Internet access for newer virus risks.
Yea what are you talking about most people get the virus from the internet, why would you run an update without it. That makes no since of what you said sir if there is no internet there is no VIRUS!!
That’s very true if you are referring to a network based anti-virus (such as Sophos Enterprise Console) where one server accesses the internet for updates and then distributes the updates to all the client machines that may not have internet access.
Can I run my current anti-virus software AND Microsoft's Defender?
Yes, you can enable Defender in passive mode. Your primary virus software will still work and Defender will still scan for malware.
Why would you? Two antivirus software's would be combating each other and would also eat up a bunch of your system resources slowing down your computer tremendously. Just pick one antivirus and stick with that.
what text to speech software you are using?
That’s my real voice.
I would like windows update stop killing my computer though....
Dear Teacher
yeah, other antivirus is sound like a scam, you can literally do the same thing they do with the fender for free
😀
What about if I subscribe to malwarebytes?
The point is you don’t need to subscribe to anything since Windows has one of the best antivirus solutions built in.
Sele, what happens to your channel? No more new videos?
I'm busy working so I've taken a long break. I do have some video in the plans though.

Defender doesn't work when viewing adult websites !
You can enable content filtering in Your browser.
@@SeleTraining How di i do that ?
It is not supposed too, use dns filtering to filter website , not anti virus solutions.
Microsoft defender has bricked my laptop, so it's not great.
That may be a result of quarantining corrupt files caused by a virus.
@@SeleTraining it did a definition update on the 2nd at 15.48
Security intelligence update for Microsoft defender. Since then my laptop has been completely bricked. I can do nothing to resolve it, it just won't let you.
@@SeleTraining lesson learnt, I will not be going anywhere near any Microsoft products going forward, extremely poor OS
@@SeleTraining how a OS is capable of crippling the entire system, locking you out if the laptop or P.C is absolutely ridiculous. If I was the product manufacturer I would sue Microsoft for there shear incompetence.
@@ljmars3787 Some crashes are caused by hardware related issues and some are caused by software. If a virus infects your computer think about how much damage that can cause if it corrupts many files. Each is critical to the functionality of the system. That is one reason it's important to create a restore point so you can revert the system back if something major causes the issue. The biggest complaint I have with Microsoft is when they release an update that actually causes issues like this. I don't blame them so much for viruses but when they do it to themselves becaus ethey don't test their updates enought it is a surprise.
Does it protect me from ransomware? Probably not. I'm sick and tired of people defending the undefendable. No pun intended.
Yes and you can see in the video there is an option to enable file protection that provides addition protection from ransomware.
Nope but I unsubscribed instead
