Congratulation I think you are the smartest of all the other guys you made it so simple that I wonder why the other guys do not follow this way instead of making it so difficult, Keep it up my friend
The others may be tradesmen wishing to do it the way they were taught and/or their work may be inspected. There are levels. This is a nice trick though and with enough aluminum tape and a few more adaptations he didnt show, it could be made to pass inspection.
The moment I seen a 3 minute video on how to do something I realized this guy was not going to explain anything. He was just going to show you how he does it. That's not teaching. That's doing what you do. Teaching is starting from scratch and showing people step one step two step three. So frustrated with these videos
He literaly explained everything he did. Measure down 10 inches step 1 Measure over 2 inches step 2 Cut down the line with your snips step 3 cut top corner step 4 bend duct in and screw step 5 done.

if you didnt learn how to do it from this video you should be hiring a contractor
Try this one on for size:czcams.com/video/4eXnYqNkF2o/video.html Then just type in the username and sheet metal for more if desired.
