By Allah I am a born Muslim originally from Somalia and now aged 60+ and in the early 90s during my university days in India I was blessed to help nearly a dozen from Kenya embrace Islam. From early on, specifically mid 80s, I was exposed to debates about comparative religions through Sheikh Ahmed Deedat first and then Dr Zakir Naik. I have also read with great fervour many prominent people who embraced Islam. And to this day stories about people's conversions to Islam pique my curiosity and interest. I always pray for their steadfastness.
Brother Malik, the way you narrated your first experience with the Muslim prayer and how you felt about it brought tears to my eyes and made feel compelled to write comment.
May Allah bless you and preserve you and increase you in knowledge, wisdom and may strengthen your convictions and may Allah use you for the spread of His Deen (the true way of life).

I had a very similar reaction when I saw my future husband pray for the first time. I was raised Christian but was pretty much agnostic by that point. He had been teaching me about Islam and I was agreeing with everything that he said but as you said, my heart wasn't fully opened yet.
He interupted the conversation we had been having and said, "I have to perform my prayer now." He went to the corner of the room and started to pray and when he bowed and a little while later prostrated with his head on the ground, I thought to myself, "Oh okay. This is worship!" because when I was a Christian going to church, listening to sermons and singing hymns, I never really thought that was worship, even though they call it that. Then, after he finished praying, he got up and turned around, I saw so much light in his face, I had one of those, "whoa moments"! I thought to myself, "What is this? It must be the light of God!"😮 Several months later when I started to read the Qur'an, every question I had ever had was answered and I knew immediately that this was the actual word of God! I took my shahadah very soon afterwards.

@Merada Honestly, that's sad to hear because all Christians should know that their words in digital form or in physical form are all the same. I agree, we Christians are supposed to be the light of the world, but most are still trapped in darkness and lack the wisdom that The Bible offers.
Jesus actually made all foods clean in The New Testament so it is no longer a sin to eat pork.
"For it doesn’t go into their heart but into their stomach, and then out of the body.” (In saying this, Jesus declared all foods clean.)" (Mark 7:19)
Correct, The New Testament condemns fornication and adultery.
“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart." (Matthew 5:27-28)
"Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous." (Hebrews 13:4)
I disagree, Muslims only follow the Quran and not The Old and New Testament so a Christian would just be following The Quran if they went to a "Muslim Country".
