I visit Thorpe Park in Chertsey, London. The drone enquires about a ticket but its declined. Then the drone goes up and we see the NEW HYPERIA ride being tested ! Security accuse me of breaking all sorts of laws but won't state which ones.

I can understand the no drones at a theme park. Might get some people flying drones irresponsibly and flying into people on the rides.
The security have a point on this one. If anything goes wrong with flying lives are in danger. Obviously they don’t own the airspace but common sense stay away from rollercoasters
Clearly did stay away from them and clearly did tell them I would
@@DJEMEDIA clearly was talking like an idiot to them to start with
its not about if you can and have the skill. If they ask you to not then why cant you just respect that? Maybe try to contact the theme park trough email so you can actually get their permission and all would be good🤷🏽♂️
Wow you also actually flown the drone over the park bro🤦🏽♂️
In all honesty I think you're pushing your luck at that location.
"The roller coaster is a big safety hazard " That is why his face is blurred in case of a theme park disaster .
Their logic really puzzled me, e.g., they kept insisting they don't allow drones to fly over the park, yet they don't own the airspace above the park so it's not up to them.
Just because something is technically legal, it doesn't always make it OK. The lane by my house is a 60mph road but it would be reckless and dangerous to go over 25 as its narrow and has lots of blind bends. The law says you can go to 60 but no one in their right mind would.
I used to enjoy watching your videos but I think I've lost all respect for you with this one.
The security guard was polite and a credit to their business on this occasion.
The aeroplanes know about our rides....lol you couldn't make it up.
DRONE ASSIST SAY NO RESTRICTIONS ON DRONE FLYING OVER THORPE PARK.
THORPE PARK DO NOT OWN THE AIR SPACE OVER THEIR PREMISES.
BUT THEY CAN ABSOLUTELY REFUSE HIM ENTRY
That fella is obsessed with the word "unfortunately."
He said it practically every sentance.
It wasn't like you flew directly over the park. No law was broken lolol 😂😂😂 brilliant video 👏👏👏. I didn't think that there was a need for re uploading and a blur either lol 👏👏⭐⭐
the second security guard is so nice literally he is testing the boundaries
It might be allowed but you dont want 20 drones turn up and people trying to catch them or throw something at them while on the big wheel then falls out .We all know theirs idiots about and at the same time we know not every one flies drones according to the book like these auditors do .We forget not every drone flier does it for youtube and they do break the law .But you cant separate that when your in a fun fair
Do you know how high thay go up. Drones
To be fair if a drone crashes into a moving ride - literally for tell a final destination moment. I can see the common sense factor first two security dudes are ok .
Agreed hence I stayed away
@@DJEMEDIA
Yeah I commented to early my bad ✌️
So is the moon flying overhead.
That was so much fun to watch haha.
Hi... you need to fet to whitehaven , Cumbria.. the police have got no drone signs displayed in public street
Why ?
@@DJEMEDIAdon’t go to whitehaven mate, I got beaten by 3 officers and left by the side of the road. Don’t mess with those guys
I feel like those rollercoasters are not scary now after seeing drone footage… next time I go, I will go on all of the rollercoasters
Why don't you get a High- Viz drone skin decal?
As long u not hitting anyone with it then I see no problem love this
Crap management always shows itself.
This guy gives me cycling mikey vibes
I love thumbnail photo :D LoL made me smile.
*Is this a re-upload because I’ve seen this before*
I was thinking the same. The 1st guy must have put a privacy complaint in which is why he's now blurred out compared with the 1st upload.
That new roller coaster has only just opened, less than a month.
I notice security are adopting the stance of official policing, so silly of them but you can deal with it DJE.
It's always fascinating when security guards believe that company policy determines the law.
They are protecting a kids play park whats the issue..theres too many wierdos and creeps out there like this guy filming
You have got understand this he is on their land, therefore they have right with their no fly zone for the drone, if he was off their land he'd be ok, they can't stop him.
Why doesn’t he give up it’s no big deal what a soapy job boring a poor drone pilot. Ps: you’ve got to take it up the police don’t want to know.
It’s like a Peter Kay comedy 😂 ps: tell the star of the show to do one !
Well done pal
Funny that these people continue to think that their rules and policies apply to everyone 😆 Our rules, our regulations 🙄
keep up the good work as the security there are arrogant. please do chessington world of adventures as well
These people believe there policy trumps the law of the country
The bearded bard is unsettling , thinks the rules of Thorpe park tourist trap apply to whole wide world .
Weird that they'd call the Police over a member of public flying a drone in space which the CAA has deemed as public airspace. They are literally threatening to call the Police because he is engaging in lawful activity.
Up again yeee.Second time lucky.keep up the great work😎👍🏼
No way to blur without loosing the original video?
i have the original
Why do you want to see his face so badly lol
Big up 😂😂😂
Ideal place for a mass drone audit
It was strange that the boss security guard would NOT give up his belief that company policy is law. I have a feeling that even if DJE pulled out the CAA printed guidelines and held it in front of his face, he's still refuse to accept that the CAA owns the airspace above the park, and that the CAA has deemed the airspace as public airspace.
You ignored him and so what his ego is bruised so he will call the police. ANOTHER ENTITLED STORY TIME WARRIOR DARREN.
What a helmet thay security guard is. Thinks he's guarding Buckingham Palace ffs. Jobsworth doesnt even know the rules or the law...smh
Dje's drive of shame, shot in that car as quick as he could then zoomed off down road like bat outta hell. 😂😂😂 And once again left the site with them thinking they justified and CAN tell people they cant fly drone so what did they learn ??? Nothing..and now its left for another more forceful auditor to really drum it into them being prepared to face imprisoment in the process of ensuring they know full stop they cant stop drone flight. 😂😂😂
Okay, maybe it's just me, but which bit of 'Drones are not Permitted in the Airspace Over or Surrounding THORPE PARK' did you have trouble understanding DJE?
They do not own the airspace, and it is in no fly zone, it is actually unlawful for them to have that sign from the first place, I think it's just you mate hope this clears it up for you
Thorpe Park do not own the airspace above Thorpe Park. The CAA owns the airspace above Thorpe Park, and the CAA has deemed that space as public airspace, i.e., it is lawful to fly a drone in the airspace above Thorpe Park.
@@WeTakeOverIreland "They do not own the airspace, and it is in no fly zone". Yeah thanks, your answer is as clear as mud !
What you're missing is that Thorpe Park don't allow drones on their land, however Thorpe Park have no say in what happens in the air space.
Which means they can legitimately say "don't pilot from our land, or you have to leave" but they can't demand you don't fly over the park. The airspace over the park is governed by CAA and aviation law, and those laws allow you to fly a small drone over the park.
Thorpe Park don't have the legal authority to prohibit drone flights.
@@pcp1976 This is a good break down of how the law works. Hopefully the security staff are reading these comments and taking note.
It's not necessarily their fault, they were simply mistrained by someone who didn't know any better.
If they were smart they would release concise plans of where drones can fly (and maybe throw in to notes on wind). It would be better all round.
Thorpe Park are also d*cks about allowing cameras (no matter how well secured) on rides. Videos would help advertise them (and show how much the Ghost trains suck!). It's been years since they got a new ride. Swarn was the last decent ride (over a decade)
PS: There's a public footpath on the other side of the park.🤫
DJ Is this the same video as last time think you have posted it already

This is a re upload i see this video a couple of days ago
No ticket even for a baby drone?😂😂
Dangerous ? 😂 When drone was up its hardly disney world...looked empty 😂😂😂
Keep holding these petty fascists to account
Just cut to the chase DJE. NO flight Restrictions .. Just Tell Him he's Talking Shite.
Idea for you. If you want to show your not breaking drone laws and are flying safely keep go pro cam in the lower corner to show your location. I bet you won’t tho as you are breaking the laws constantly.
The law doesn't require you to do so, so not needed.
What are you talking about? According to the law he's lawful to fly it on any sport over the park, i bet you are one of the security guys lol
@DroningVision, your jealousy is really showing!! Why are you acting so concerned? 🤷🏼♂️ Are you questioning how well a person's vision is? Do all people have the same vision? 🤔
Thorpe park don’t own the airspace and it’s irrelevant if it’s private property or not and he is allowed to fly his drone right over them rides all day long and there’s nothing the police or any legal team can do about it
@@razwanakhan25 didn’t say they did. He can fly as much as he wants but within the laws. He constantly fly’s beyond vlos and there is also article 241 of the ANO “241. A person must not recklessly or negligently cause or permit an aircraft to endanger any person or property”
Boss give people key rings or something 😮
😅 it's always good to complement women on their hair ❤😅 gets them talking every time 😮 non stop sometimes 🙄 😂❤
What constitutes an "assembly of people"?? Is that 2, 4, 50, 163 or ??? 🤷🏼♂️ 🤔
It's defined as grop of people who cannot move away quickly because of other people around them. So that would be where people are densely packed in the same area like in an concert, sport events, beaches or marches. Looking at the drone footage that would not include Thorpe park. The only exception could maybe be where people in the actual rides, since they are constrained.
@@IceBlueBeard , thanks for the explanation. 🤔

Didn’t want rides to stop
bruh he was embarrassed by his shit hair cut we've all seen it mate
and how he checked those young ladies, when they entered in the park, looking at their rear ends.
@@Ronskutin I must have missed that wish i had the original footage
What's wrong with his hair? I think it looks cool.
Looking at that creature in the original video, no wonder he wanted his face blurred.
That's just unnecessary.
Hahaha "how much is a ticket for a small drone"! Love it!
This is my favourite video of yours ever. You are so cool when faced with total idiots. Loved this
If there is a not a "no fly zone" how can Thorpe Park stop you flying?
It’s a really good video. You could have flown the drone over all day if you hadn’t alerted the security to your presence. The manager didn’t want you photographing the new ride.
it still amazes me people moan about filming in public especially a theme park. People nowadays are just snowflakes.
Watching 10 minutes of a blurred face talking is extremely boring.
Better than not watching it
Security guards are some of the thickest people around and how the hell does he think he can tell you to delete anything ? Everything he said was wrong .
An aircraft cannot come closer than 500 feet of any person, vessel or structure unless taking off or landing. 250 feet for military.
Hence drones maximum is 400 foot
Unless that aircraft is a sub 250g drone.
@@DMC888 what we were saying is a regular plane etc cannot venture into drone territory as the maximum is 400 feet and minimum for aircraft is 500 feet ( 250 military ).
"Giving the drone a day out"...😂
Think your clever, it's not clever and nor are you.
You're clearly NOT clever.
3rd ?
Security Manager so full of himself and BS there is not enough room for common sense and logic. The fact that he distracted a pilot that was in control of a aircraft thus breaking the law whilst wrongly telling you that you are breaking the law ha ha ha fool.
He has to maintain his ego in front of his juniors.
Just respect that they don’t allow drones. Stop being a Karen. lol
Why did he want the blur? I thought it looked like a fresh trim 💇♂️
I know right! He wouldn't have the trim if he didn't want it, people are just being negative for no reason.

52:56 i think security is confused about what " line of sight " means, it doesn't mean you have to see the drone it means you can't have any obstruction between you and where the drone is . The drone can theoretically be 10 mile away as long as there is no obstruction between you and the drone !
That’s completely wrong you’ve got to have line of sight so you must be able to see your drone in the air
@@razwanakhan25 look up what line of sight means .
@@Mrleejunman Well technically you "need" to see the drone. From the UK "Drone and Model Aircraft Code":
"Always keep your drone or model aircraft in direct sight and make sure you have a full view of the surrounding airspace"
"You must be able to see your drone or model aircraft clearly enough that you can tell which way it’s facing."
Now if you have good eyesight it means you can actually fly as far away as you want as long as you "see it clearly"
Even if someone else who is with you can't see it is fine as long as you the pilot can see it.
@@IceBlueBeard And this is beyond line of sight.
Security are just so uneducated...how embarrassing
