Fun to watch the two Luke's try Indonesian food, the banana leaf part though 😂. The PD on this really should have provided some food description cards for them to read after trying each dish so they would know what they ate.
This!! I expected to be like that because videos like this usually the content creator would then explain the food to the reactors/tasters so they can understand more about what they were eating/trying. A bit disappointed but nevertheless, indeed still super fun to watch!! Love these guys so much

I’m Indonesian and never seen Kue Lapis like that, it’s just weird, they should give Martabak, Kue Putu, Lapis Legit, Kue Pepe/tete, kue pancong, and there are still lot more of snacks and cakes

They were referring to “pasty†(more specific than the general pastry) when eating pastel, which is a British meat pie/pastry. That’s why they like it because it’s something that is very familiar to them. Love the Bridgerton brothers!

Everyone should try at least once in their life to try Pastel. It's a high tier "gorengan" / fried snack which people around the world would accept the taste. As Indonesian, I also recommend pastel with the range price around Rp 7000 / $ 0,5 (in Jakarta) to get tasty pastel with proper filling, bigger and tempting.

The last dessert they eat, the "onde-onde" sounds funny in my brazilian mind. Because "onde" means "where" in portuguese, so in my mind I read "where-where" HAHAHHAHAHA It looks delicious!

Love this content. Personally I think klepon and serabi would’ve been awesome choices. Kue buah because it’ll be surprising how it looks like tiny fruits, the texture is glossy but inside is mung beans. Arem-arem instead of lemper just because of how greasy lemper is, and ketan serundeng is also a nice surprising combination of flavours.
As a person of Asian descent. When he tried to eat the banana leaf, I was mortified. However, given that it was his first time eating it, that's understandable.
Whoever has the idea for this content, I salute you! Thank you, Netflix Indonesia! And their chemistry is amazing, no wonder their scenes are so adorable to watch. Can't wait for Benedict's story, I hope whoever plays Sophie shares the same chemistry!

To all of you who didn't know about lemper or lontong. The use of banana leaf is not only as a traditional wrapper, but the banana leaf will also give the aroma to the rice during the proses of cooking it, we also have Lemper bakar (we burn the Lemper for a while about 1 or two minutes) 😊
