Yes , you are right , Us followers really appreciate you breaking down giving tutorials on the water and rigs that is so helpful to us 🤝. And that's one reason why I'm subscribed to your channel is because you don't always film your biggest catch , you always find time to break down scenarios.... Many thanks Pare....
I am taking notes in case there is a pop quiz on this excellent surf fishing lesson! I love that big smile on Martins face with that hog! He landed it pompano style! That SB you caught are the perfect size for eating. WOW, that second one was right there at the edge of the surf! You could see the hookup! That blackened fish looked AWESOME!! Always a wonderful show Ed, thanks for sharing!
So cool. Surf fishing by you seems so cool! It’s so interesting how the regulations are way different on each coast! Limit over by me is only 1 fish between 28-38 inches. Anything over has to be released. Those smaller stripers probably taste really good!!! I’m glad you had a great day with your friend and I learned something new in this episode for sure! 👍
@@Hook2Cook thank you Ed i appreciate that a lot. I didn’t have any crazy catches but at least I beat the skunk!!. I am going tonight for stripers here soon!
As a newbie, that ruler looks really helpful so I'm not second guessing my memory on size minimums. I was able to assess that it's made by Salty Bones but which version do you have? Looked like yours is a vinyl but I only see West Coast for a 3 piece.
Limits baby! Yes sir! Santa Cruz is showing some slow signs of stripe bass. Going out tomorrow evening see if we can't get the calissa to flirt with them. Thanks for the tips bro! 🤙🏼🎣
Definitely better. Not that fresh is bad at all but salty striper are just that next level. Probably diet, Colder water and delicious biochemistry going on
Awsome video. Striper is my favorite fighting fish. I have not try surf fishing for stripers. I learn a lot from your video today. Thanks for the tips and safe fishing. Btw, Vietnamese love eating striper with wrap.
I couldnt see the samd bars you were talking about, but so are we suppose to look for a big pool after the first breaker? Or a big pool after the last breaker? I kinda have a hint of what you meant
The best spots are where there’s a sandbar from shore leading straight out with a pool right next to it with waves slamming right on shore. Fish either sides of it.
You guys say 'skunking' when you dont catch. Over here in the UK thay call it 'blanking'. Both those terms sound a bit negative to me, because i always enjoy fishing whether I catch, or not. Therefore, I've appropriated the term 'net-zero', which simply states the score - in the case of 'net-zero' the fish win, but it was still a great day/nights fishing, you just look forward to the next time when you hope to get a double in the (metaphorical) net. Just saying. Raymondo.
Ed, are your walkie talkies waterproof and how are they holding up with surf splashes. I'm looking for a set due to lack of phone coverage. Brand and model number please, thank you, rich.
@@Hook2Cook It's illegal to use those radios on land. Those are marine VHF radios which can legally only be used ship to ship, or ship to shore. It's illegal to use them land to land. Please do not encourage anyone to do this.

You are so welcome! Salamat! hopefully it helps others when they hit the water to hear how we break down areas to fish.

Awesome! Thank you!
Good to see you back on the surf! Wishing we had stripers here in San Diego. Did you go North for the stripers, or did you stay in your backyard?
Up north

Jesse! Very cool guy!
Of course! He’s part of the family!
Nice!!! Good tips on the bleeding and putting him in the sand 🤘🏽
so much less time wasted when you are on a possible school and better bled in the sand than in the backback!
Solid job in the surf and grill. that bass looks like it was cooked perfectky
It came out so juicy! Not overcooked at all
Just subscribed, meal looked excellent!
Thank you and welcome! The meal was definitely too notch fresh
18 inch striper is a keeper in California. GOD Damn! on the east coast 28' is minimum size to keep a striped bass.
Might have to do with striper being a non native species 🤷🏻♂️
Cool video. I would think salty stripes taste better than fresh water.stripes. Although ate some from Powell they were pretty damn good.

What is the name of this location.
where is this?
Do you ever add weight to your calissas to get them to cast farther?
Never. That would mess with the action too much. Just need the right action rod with braided line.
@@Hook2Cook roger that! Thanks bro
