Imagine going back to watching avatar 1 & 2 after completing this game. And understanding way more than before of movie could've offer. We would be pretty hyped for avatar 3 if this game does lore well. So many will be itching for avatar 3 then
Lol All these people going on about "Just looks like a Avatar version of Farcry" like it's a bad thing. This looks gorgeous and certainly seems to poses enough of its own character and aesthetic to prevent you from feeling like your on Earth, let alone The Himalayas or Montana.

Some people just want another reason to hate Ubisoft, but claiming that every new release from the developer lacks originality (eg. it's a reskinned Far Cry game) is just plain ridiculous and irresponsible.

This is my opinion and mine only, but this game proves that even a spinoff film from the main story line (Jake & Neytiri) set on Pandora can absolutely work! This planet/moon has plenty of stories that clearly can be told! 💙💙💙

There have been many times when playing forbidden west where it's felt like a avatar game. One of the biggest ones is horizons soundtrack. The original avatar soundtrack has a crazy history. The short version is that James Cameron got his composer to try to make a soundtrack comprised of a tribal like vibe that no one has heard before. He put it together, hired a expert who studied sounds between different languages. Presented it to Cameron who threw most of it out cause he said it was a sound he never heard before. The Horizon soundtrack sounds very close in style to the thrown out score of Avatar.
true they captured that alienating experience of a lush environment. now the upcoming Avatar game is given an improvement form previous 2010 game. it was reminiscent of a more vibrant FC3 visual style + Primal gameplay and the AC mechanics of eagle vision and audio cues.
This game looks great.

basically ARK, AC and FC in Avatar's world but worried about performance, hope there is teleportation but not segmented world...like loading times when moving from one region to another.

How did they make it canon? They said it was. It's not like Avatar has a particularly sprawling narrative. It's two movies and a theme park.
You just answered your own question. These events are occurring in one end of the theme park, while the events in the movies are occurring in a different end. All existing canonically together in this land.

As long as the battlepass isn’t shoved in my face, this game will be fun.
Playing atm and can't help but wonder everytime that if humans get 500 yrs to adapt on pandora then the na,vi would die out like yes they have eywa but humans always find a way to get what we need to survive like thats the scariest thing across any media humans and our adaptability. Which makes the overall message hit harder 🤔 for me anyway 🤷🏿♂️

Shocked, there are no melee weapons, and you can only punch people. Considering you are an indigenous tribe , spears would have been real cool.
We do have spear later in the game - but they haven’t mentioned it. They’ve show it for a split second in one of the old trailers and it’s been leaked on Reddit a few times.

While I’m super excited for the game, I’m kinda laughing and cringing at the fact the whole “the game and movie are connected” point is apparently this giant thing, like this isn’t a brand new concept? You only have to go as far as like Jedi survivor or fallen order or starwars squadrons and I’m sure there’s a few other examples
It’s because it is a big thing for Avatar. It has a bunch of old games and comics that are not canon, plus we won’t have a movie till hopefully (2025). Cameron is super picky and this is supposed to hold us all over till the next movie.
