- Today I go over the best performance mods you can do to the 370z whether that's keeping it NA or going boost, I cover how these cars make power in the first place and what each option has to offer depending on what you want to accomplish.

Can’t wait till you supercharge it! Love the 3.5 and 3.7 potential
I didn't really cover tuning options in this video, but as you guys know, I have always done my tuning with Jon @ Z1 via Uprev and sending data logs to street tune. have plenty of tuning and retuning videos on the channel for those interested in that process.
Time for that CF radiator cover? or do you just use on sunny days only? The Z1 2-piece sprinkle slotted are worth it - I went with EBC redstuff and for street use, have done perfect for 5+ years... Now need me that oil cooler!!
I’m thinking of getting 370z nismo V1 so I can also convert to v2 to have the two versions lol. Also the Z1 supercharger
Sounds good man have fun!
How much power u make? I have a 2014 nismo with invidia gemini catback and berk high flow cats + drop in filters. Gonna get a tune soon :D I'm very excited how much power it's gonna make :D
Never been on the dyno before, probably 330-340whp & ~280wtq, who are you tuning with?
great video, but as a body guy man i couldnt get my mind off that poor front bumper respray
If you super charge do you have to take the intakes off?
Correct
@@vicscu Alr thx
Im planning to buy the stillen gen 3 soon with an X-pipe, then dyno & tune. Just curious how much power did you make with the intake?
Im only street tuned never dyno’d, admin has good videos about what mods to do and what to expect from each as far as whp and how it affects the power delivery
@@vicscu thanks bro!
I have a 2019 sport model 6MT and had the Stillen Gen 3 long tube intakes put on and a Fast Intentions dual x-pipe cat back. The next day I took it to Specialty Z in Simi Valley, CA and had it dyno tuned on a Dynojet chassis dyno with Ecutek software. My peak rwhp was about 273 hp @ 7200 rpm. After the mods and tuning we got 321 wheel hp @ 7200 rpm. The torque increased by a factor of about 14% over the whole rev range. Estimating a 17% drivetrain loss, I suspect that I'm putting out about 387 crank hp @ 7200 rpm.
The tuner did about 7 pulls before finally dialing in the final results. What I saw during the runs was that the stock A/F ratios programmed into the ECU by Nissan were moderately lean at low and midrange revs, while being slightly lean at high revs. I believe this was for economy and emissions control. The pull with just the hardware installed showed 301 peak rwhp with the low-end and mid range running extremely lean and the top end moderately lean. The torque curve showed a big dip down low. After the A/F ratios were corrected and the timing was optimized the engine woke up and became the beast that it now is. My gas mileage did go down slightly, but that was no big deal. The car also sounds much better than stock.
@@videomaniac108 thank you for the info! Thats my catback exhaust im planning to get (F.I. Xipe). Good to know. I aim for 320+ whp so thats good news. Again thank u for the info, extremely helpful.
Good luck with the upgrade; I know you'll enjoy it.@@mattrancho
is there a difference in power between having bruke test pipes and long tube headers
Little better top end if u wanna stay na or go supercharger
I went woth that same z1 package you have and its awesome BUT i do now get a weird squicking noise when the clutch pedal isnt pushed in, when apply absolutely tiny pressure to the clutch pedal the noise goes away, any idea? To add iv only done about 2500 miles on it
Not too sure, generally speaking it is noisy though, and getting up to operating temperatures helps
Do your jacks hold up your trunk?
Yes my shocks hold the trunk up fine but it is heavy and requires you to manually help it up but yes it stays up, mines 2011
So I have the 2.5 inch Z1 intakes Torqen 200cel high flow cats and the Torqen Zorst 3 inch duel exit, headers are too expensive too fit talking 1K+ labour so should I tune now? I imagine I’ll get a big power increase and get rid of my engine warning light
Definitely man you will notice a huge difference in drivability and how the power comes in. I recommend tuning with the big name guys like Z1 or Admjn just to name a couple!
@@vicscu I’m in the UK so not sure if I have those Choices but I’ll look around!
@@aarongordon4836 you should be able to if you’re comfortable data logging, they can remote tune, but not to big a deal just find someone reputable
Does your Z require aftermarket engine mounts for the amount of hp/trq?
Nope all good
@@vicscu ok, thank you sir.
