  • Product expert, Tony Dang, here at Murray Hyundai in Winnipeg demonstrates one of the coolest features found on the new Hyundai Santa Fe Ultimate Calligraphy - the Remote Smart Park Assist! Great for when people have parked too close to you in a parking lot preventing you from easily getting access to your vehicle.

Years ago, when I was about 8 months pregnant, someone parked far too close, and I couldn't get in the vehicle at all. I had to go back into the store and ask them to ask that customer to come out over the loudspeaker. This would have been lovely in that situation.

Hi Eberts. Thanks for your question. The Remote Smart Park assist is designed to allow for up to 15 degrees of deflection, but in most cases it will only allow the vehicle to travel in a straight line. The vehicle will stop if an obstruction or person is the way.

I will always wondering: if you use this parking feature for getting into the tight spot.... How the other two people will get into their cars? They will be so angry.

This is an optional feature, not necessary for everyone. However, Living in a city like Seoul, Korea, where parking space is incredibly tight, residents must navigate in and out with extreme care, making this feature indispensable for them.

Is this auto stop with sensor or we have to stop by people?
What about if you press forward instead back up?
Is that hit the wall ?
    Thank you!

I'm shopping for a SF. This seems like a cool feature - does anyone actually use this regularly? Seems more like a gimmick.

No you would not use it regularly. The point is, it is there if you do need it. When somebody parks way too close you will still be able to access your car at least.

I would only see myself using this is parking garages, in big cities, like Boston parking lol. Otherwise I'll probably never use this. I own a 2021 SF-U w this feature, I'll use it probably 4 times till it dies/trade in
However, I freakin love my SF! There are a few things I don't like, but the Pros greatly outweigh the cons.

Just had a guy pull up in front of me and get out just to use this to back up… how stupid r people that they need someone to put the car in reverse for them. Mind you there’s nothing on left.. he’s parking on the curb…
