If my father was going to fight this much to be my father, I would have been running into his arms the second he did... my father was an alcoholic and a drug addict like she said hers was, he was abusive and would never let me do anything. He never cared about anything I did, if I got top of my class he wouldn’t congratulate me. He wouldn’t care about anything, he went as far as to steal £200 for his drug addiction. The last time I saw him was in January, for my birthday, and he only gave me my gift and then asked my mum for money for cigarettes... she’s got that Dad who wants her, she has someone who supports her and someone else who will fight for her non stop because they love her, and she is just throwing her relationship with her father away... it upsets me to see this.

I don’t think he said that, that’s what her mother has responded with when he’s complained about that kind of behavior. And it seems like he hasn’t been able to get help with it when he’s tried to reach out to the proper authorities, so it’s not really his fault.

Notice the semicolons that make and appearance in the paragraph on her story. Furthermore, the first part was copy and pasted, this is a large indicator that the mother was the culprit. Additionally, the text focuses mostly on the mom, this shows that the mother was defending herself. This is common for a person who is distressed. Whereas, if it was written by Danielle, it would have been elicited from more of the father daughter relationship that they shared.
Gosh this has me emotional my dad died when I was 8 if I could go back and say something to him I would do it in a heartbeat.

@@jelly4563 I have the same opinion, if he cared, than why he didn't handle the situation privately. Making a mess online brings even more attention and he's contributing to the "problem".
Seems to me like he was getting labeled as a bad parent and didn't like that, but being a proper parent sounds like a lot of work and he needed to clear his name somehow.
I feel really bad for Danielle anyways. I hope she really learns and grows from all of this.
