Have you ever noticed that sometimes your not even paying attention to a song and someone else is playing in the background and the brain memorizes it. Why , because of the beat or flow. Theres no rush in memorising the Quran, the most important part of memorisation is remembering what you have memorised. So if you are struggling at the 12th juz, the best course of action is to go back and go through each juz thoroughly until you are confident with each one.Only then should you proceed to next juz. Hope that makes sense.

One way to memorize the Qur’an is to memorize 3 lines after each prayer, which means you will have memorized 15 lines by the end of the day, which equals 1 page, and you do this for 6 days, and in the 7th day you revise the 6 pages you have memorized.
This means that by the end of one month, you will have memorized a little bit more than one juz’.
This method needs about 2 years to memorize the Qur’an, In Sha’a Allah.
The beautiful thing is that you can adjust the number of lines you want to memorize according to what you see, and you get to focus on individual ayat.

    Key takeaways:
    1. Memorizing starts when you finished. This is important.
    2. Choose a method according to your preference. No one size fits all.
As for memorizing backward, I can relate. I got the same experience when memorizing backward. However, I personally prefer a mixed method. Sometimes it's forward, other times it's backward.
Since I don't enroll in any school, I have the liberty to choose the verses to memorize. Currently, I prioritized verses with the most personal impact for myself. I chose verses that relates the most to me, be it as a father, as a son, as a worker, or as a person in general. That keeps me motivated.

MashAllah what amazing advice from the both of them.
From the Ottomon Guy, His method of Memorizing last page from each Juz is actually such a motivator in my opinion. Like, you basically get a taste of every Juz and thus are familiar with them alittle more.
As for the Host of Ilmfeed, His method is literally exactly like how I used to do it. Every night you simply read your lesson (A page or a few lines etc...) and then you just keep repeating, the next day InshAllah it'll become very solid and would only need to be revised a couple of times.
Note: When Memorizing Quran, it is strongly encouraged to stay away from technology for a good amount of time.

    • @khafidkhafi
      @khafidkhafi Před 2 lety

@@hunny585 I know I'm suuuper late, but lemme explain:
You start your memorization from the very last page of a juz, and then, you memorize from the very last ayah of that page, and continue upwards to the first ayah on that page. But when you recite it, recite it from top to bottom entirely.
The man on the video says to memorize the last page of every juz first, one page a day (at minimum). And once you're done, now you're going to the second last page of every juz. And continue doing this until you reach the first page of every juz.
But you can also just memorize one juz at one time rather than jump from the last page of one juz to the other last page of another juz, if it's too confusing for you. So this way, after you're done with the last page of that juz, the next day, you memorize the second last page, and at the end of the day you recite the two pages you've memorized all together. And continue doing so until that juz is finished. Once you're comfortable with your memorization of that juz, you can continue to the next one and do the same thing. So you're doing your memorization *and also* repetition at the same time. I do recommend to do one or two days of pure repetition for the juz you've memorized before you continue to the next juz, or at least until you feel really comfortable and familiar with it.

But I don't prefer this method because the main purpose of The quran is guidance not just to memorize it without even knowing the meaning.... We must do it from the beginning if possible then with meaning plus pondering upon the verses, If we do it from backward, it will be difficult to ponder and to memorize with meaning
For example, Surah Yusuf... It is about the story of Yusuf As, Did you ever read a story from its last page and ending with the first page?? No.... Likewise the quran... If you want to memorize it, start from the beginning not from the last, I mean not backward as mentioned in this video....
Plus this is not the method of the three generations, whom we r supposed to follow... So who will u follow?? The three generations or the Ottomans?? Choice is yours 😊....

So simply, I am explaining inshaAllah for everyone to understand. The Quran has 30 juz. Each juz has 20 pages. You start with the last page of the first juz, and progress until you reach the last page of the last juz. This inshaAllah will be done in one month as there are 30 days for 30 pages. Than you start with the 19th page of the first juz to the 19th page of the last juz, also in one month. And then proceed with the rest of the pages 18, 17, 16...2,1. Now you have completed the hifz in 2 and a half years as one juz was memorized for one month. inshaAllah it was clear enough.

After maghrib you begin memorising a new lesson that is a new page or two of a juz and recite it to your teacher in fajr. Then begin revising the whole juz that you are currently memorising and recite it to the teacher before Zuhr. Then begin revising one of the juzs that you have already memorised and recite it to the teacher before Asr. Then after maghrib another new lesson and henceforth. In this way two simultaneous revisions also continue along with the new lesson. After finishing you again start with Daur(Revision) to make your memorization stronger.
This is the method usually followed here in India. But there may be some additional things also at different places and some other methods are also followed.
