Check out the original. It's called God MAKE me funky. The great Paul Jackson singing and playing bass. "And when I get on my knees and pray...the only thing that I can say is God....God MAKE me funky" It makes no sense to pray for God to "made" me funky. Plus, it not about bragging about how funky you are. It's a humble prayer man. But great bass playing.
