  • Can you believe in God and evolution at the same time? What is "theistic" evolution, and how consistent is it with traditional theism? What challenges does Darwin's theory pose for Protestants, Catholics, and Jews? Is it "anti-science" to question Darwinian theory? Explore these questions and more in this conference at Biola University.
Sponsored by the Discovery Institute and Biola's Master of Arts in Science and Religion.

In my humble opinion Jonathan wells is the only person in ID which makes sense because he rejects common ancestry unlike many theistic evolutionists which had taken a strange position.

I'm sure that Collins and Dawkins will at least say they were wrong in jumping to conclusions that were known to be false assertions.
This is what happens when you have an idea driven by dogmatic ideology and not scientific evidence or inference to the truth of ones statement.
What I would like to know more about is embryonic cell and how it tells the DNA what to build, how to build it and In what place. This would mean mutations and natural selection by unguided process is DOA as it's not the DNA or protein that determines the body plan. If anybody knows where to get more on that research let me know.

Didn't you know that evolutionists make most of their arguments from speculations, fabrications and outright fraud. That is the level of evolutionary proof that have always filled the textbooks of kids. I grew up with many of the Icons Of Evolution that Wells book debunked.

Jeremiah 5:4 KJV: "Surely these [are] poor; they are foolish: for they know not the way of the LORD,"
Matthew 22:29"Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God."
-this is atheists, indeed they are foolish and poor, and they act and speak accordingly.
and what will they do in the day of judgement of Lord of hosts?wont they run in caves and holes like mice?
      as it is written :
"Enter into the rock, and hide thee in the dust, for fear of the LORD"Isaiah 2:10

Our marvelous, mysterious world shows many signs of intelligent design. To believe in a Designer is perfectly rational. Jonathan Wells effectively lays bare the underlying bias toward random chance as an explanation in many scientific theories.

I think God and Sunday School is really cool and all but God needed a little help in getting things started and looked to Charles Darwin. I mean I think its pretty obvious. I've been a Christian all my life so I know pretty much exactly what God can and cannot do. (There is NO WAY God could have created everything in 6 days. More like 10-15, actually.)

    • @suppiluiiuma5769
      @suppiluiiuma5769 Před 2 lety +1

God is omnipotent; He can do literally anything ; even create a rock so big He cannot lift it and lift it anyway as He Himself determines what is and what is not possible. I'm not a Christian personally (I'm a Hindu) , so I don't believe God created the world in six days (took less according to my scriptures) ; but He very well could have ; He could have said "Let it be so " and it would have instantly been so ; so giving Him six days is actually extremely generous and something He would have done so to be artistic ; like dancing or writing a book, but ultimately He would even have needed a minute to do it. I would encourage you to believe that He did it in six days, because you are a Christian, but to view it as the Creator's artistic flare, not a period of time He took because He required it.

"The existence of noncoding RNAs such as ribosomal RNA and tRNA was known in the 1960s, long before ENCODE. The existence of snoRNAs, snRNAs, regulatory RNAs, and various catalytic RNAS were known in the 1980s, long before ENCODE. Other RNAs such as miRNAs, piRNAS, and siRNAs were well known in the 1990s, long before ENCODE"

      Junk DNA is junk DNA.
Not all of what was regarded as junk DNA is junk DNA.
None of the discoveries about junk DNA were made by creationists. Which means it was evolutionary scientists who did that work. Which means the Darwinian paradigm was in action and finding out new stuff.
      Creationism is claims minus facts.
