The Acura Integra has been lonely for a few weeks when it comes to getting new parts due to a hectic move to a different house,launching the detail brand, and much more. Thankfully James Wood decided to come back down and help me out with putting a brand new face on the car after a HUGE crack in the bumper mysteriously appeared. We test the fitment of the new bumper and ran into a few problems. Thanks for watching and hope you enjoyed this nutshell tutorial on how to remove and install the front end!

don't forget the number one mod for any honda should be a good alarm system or lojack/gps tracker. Seen lots of people spend money and time on these cars only to have them jacked and found stripped and dumped somewhere with nothing left. Friend of mine had his garage broken into and they took the whole jdm front and even cut the core support off for the jdm front with his own sawzall. If you make it too nice and aren't careful it is only a matter of when it gets stolen not if it does in my experience.

The styrofoam absorber does a lot more than you think. Having done collision work for several years, that thing does some work. In a minor, low-speed collision, not only will that save a $100 bumper cover respray from turning into a $500+ bumper cover and impact bar replacement and respray; but it does significantly soften the blow of an impact, prevents the airbags and seatbelt pretensioners from unnecessarily deploying, and saves you a little whiplash. Fun facts with Crazy Ivan!
Also, aftermarket bumper covers suck balls, lol. Probably should have just gotten a used OEM bumper cover to repaint, or try to find one the same color.
CrazyIvan1337 Can confirm. I have an ef that was hit by a drunk driver. Took it apart to find the absorber thing in one solid piece. That thing was bent like an arrow >.
You don’t need any tools to remove the bulb from the turn signal housing. They come out with a quarter turn counter clockwise. >_>
The reason the bumper didn't fit because its the wrong bumper. You purchased the 94' style bumper instead of the "post face lift". you need the 1998-2001 style since your car is a 01'. Like so David Can see. Hope this helps!!!!
look at it again. it is a 98-01 bumper. The problem is its an aftermarket bumper and theyre pieces of shit and never fit. I do body work for a living. I know. Trust me.

Agreed, Sure it may be cheaper.. but have fun with fitment issues. OEM all the way..
If he had googled anything about Integras and bumpers or asked anyone who knew anything about Integras, Hondas or even body work they would have told him that the aftermarket bumpers are complete and utter trash and you are always better off getting a junkyard bumper. The optional/type-r lip would entirely cover the damage that was done to the bumper anyways which would have been like 1/3rd of the price too. BaysonR has some really great OEM replica lips.

Don't help David with his cars he'll make you do everything
You really should have replaced the fender while you had the bumper skin off. Once it's off it's just a few 10mm bolts to remove the fender. Now you have to redo a lot of the bumper removal process on one side to change the fender.

Since replacing front bumper skin and presumably one front fender at least, go a step further and just do entire post facelift ITR / GS-R JDM front end conversion. Especially if entertaining the idea anyway later down the road.
duosonic391 Yeah I definitely also would've gone with a JDM Type R nose. They automatically look better as they come, but they look way more aggressive with a true diffuser/splitter than a GS does.

Wow I’ve owned my Integra 17 years and have pulled the bumper off probably a hundred times, and I’ve never once disconnected those turn signal bulb harnesses. You just twist the bulb bases out of the housing and let the harness hang with the bulb still in the base. Takes 1 second for each one, so much easier.
I’m sorry I can’t help but laugh at the fact you lubricated the clips. 😂 I work in a body shop, so I’d have that bumper off in ten minutes flat. I don’t mean to talk crap by any means. I mean I’ve done it hundreds of times. I remember a time that changing my oil was intimidating. 😂 just cracked me up that y’all lubricated the clips.

The bumper itself is also known as a crash bar. The foam just keeps the bumper cover (skin) from easily pushing in. My Focus it is plastic instead of foam. Great video.
Is there any weight difference between the polyurithane panel and one made of fibergass like normal?

The metal brackets you cut were for the oem optional fog lights.

Should have bought an OEM Honda bumper or done the JDM front end conversion. Also would have been a good time to give those headlamps a polish and seal.
You could of just twisted the bulb sockets out instead of unplugging them. Your just gonna reinstall them on the new bumper and all you have to do is twist the bulb sockets back in.

it was satifying to start with a rear ended car to let it go completely naked. no more suspension and powertrain parts.

Honestly, I like those white gauges. Maybe its just cause the shot was farther away, but they don't seem too overdone or "boy racer" like. They'd fit in perfectly with a black interior. I get why you'd want to get rid of them, but I quite like the look.

bruhhh i had to replace my front bumper twice on my civic its "simple". i ran through a well with the second bumper... then i replaced it with a matte black one lol i feel your pain

You might be able to heat the parts of the bumper with a heat gun and kinda mold it to get that perfect fit
