What amazes me about Adeline even more than her amazing writing ability, intelligence, and her unique maturity as a child, is her amazing ability to forgive and to love. This is what makes her beautiful... and not need therapy.
Adeline's book, Chinese Cinderella, has always been a source of comfort during the times I am incredibly low. Since the age of ten, I've always opened up different parts of it, reading it just so I feel like I'm not alone. I've read the book perhaps thirty times over now, and know the entire story by heart. Adeline, if you are reading this, your story has always given me strength to hold on even when everything feels horribly dark. You have been my light for nearly eleven years, and nothing I can do could ever show my gratitude to the words you have written. I love you and your story from the deepest chambers of my heart.
I read this Chinese Cinderella book, and I completely loved it. Adeline is such an inspiration. Niang is such a witch! And Aunt Baba and Ye Ye really helped her. I cant believe that all this is real ..
I just finished the second time reading this book it's inspiration! This time I understand her feeling and the way she tried to find her own way! I even cried when Niang was so cruel to her. But her effort was finally working and first 14 years she's unwanted daughter but I believe the rest of her life is better! She's more independent and strong. I love this book and no doubt that I will read it again
Chinese Cinderalla is a beautiful book I couldn't put down and looked forward to reading everyday ,I cannot relate entirely to her experience but I do in fact empathize with her immensely and read the book with my whole heart.im more than grateful to have stumbled upon this incredible book which will forever be in my heart
at the moment i am reading "" Chinese Cinderella and the secret dragon society "" about her life . and that wicked stepmother . how can some disown a child because of her reasons . i am so happy for this wonderful lady to have come out on top of her sad life and lived to be who she is today . you have my deepest respect Adeline Yen Mah
This woman is incredible - her books inspired me so so much and taught me the incredible, tragic beauty of endurance and resilience, which helped me more than words can express to get through my own difficult times in childhood. I will forever be grateful to her and admire her 💖
I'm 11 years old and I read the book Chinese Cinderella. I really enjoyed it and only just finished it yesterday. I'm looking forward to read Falling Leaves when I'm a bit older.
Her father unknowingly gave her a ticket out of that hell. She went to England, then America became an anesthesiologist, and formed her own family. And then she finally became the writer that she always wanted to be
I viewed the video because my daughter is reading Falling Leaves in her English I class. I want to read Falling Leaves and Chinese Cinderella now. Adeline is very inspiring and I hope her children appreciate her!
I've read this is for English and now have to write a short story about it! This book made me cry! It's so sad how she is rejected by her own family! Adeline you're very inspirational!
Bendiciones.
@@ihatenfts501 Yes she is a very despicable women, from the start to the end. But look who reign victorious, Adeline remained moral and admireable above her, Niang can never compare herself to her.

Millions will disagree, but here goes ANYWAYs: i did NOT like this book, forced myself to read it, hoping the ending would make it worth this painfully boring read...but...nope, its all just blahblah whiney complainy boring details. As you can tell i. myself, enjoy complaining (its true) but i dont like reading it. i am flawed, like each and every human, woe is me i felt no sympathy for anyone except maybe Bob. That is just my opinion. i wish Adeline all the BEST! NO TROLLS THANK YOU 🌞
I think you are confusing two books she has written. The interview is about "Falling Leaves", but Yen Mah has also written a book called "Chinese Cinderella".

I wonder what Niang would have thought of the book...
Pretty pissed, I'd think
@@birgio1363 She deserves it either way. I hope Adeline’s step mother rots in hell

Are these comments for real? Her story does not relate to Cinderella in any way. Worst book I've read.
