  • The WNY&P line between Falconer, NY and Meadville, PA has been dormant for two months. Then word got out that on 05/28/2024 the WNY&P was moving four surplus GE locomotives from their base in Olean, NY to the Norfolk Southern interchange in Meadville for dispersal. Here was one more chance to see action on the now inactive former Erie-Lackawanna mainline.
    It's anyone's guess how long it will be before another train passes this way.

    Those GE 's have the Steerable Trucks .Dont see those very often .Wow they look great 😮

      Apparently the WNY&P.also no longer runs to Emporium /Driftwood and has more power than needed for their downsized operations.
