- Today we are going to hike on the Centerpoint trail to the hemmed in hollow waterfall. This waterfall is the tallest waterfall in the Midwest, rising above 209 feet. Ponca Arkansas is my favorite place to hike in Arkansas because their is so many hidden gems. The total mileage for the hike that we did was around 11 miles. If you take the Centerpoint route you will cross an old hand built cabin. Built in the early 1900s and was the last homestead occupied in the buffalo river before it was turned into a national river in the 1970's.

bro I loved this video I'm going to have to see this in person.
Sneed's Creek
Parking at Compton is harder. It is 2.5 miles downhill, and then 2.5 back uphill is a chore. You can still go see the old house from this trail. There is also an old house on the first junction .8 of a mile down to the waterfall
Really like the Cinema look and that waterfall is beautiful
Thank you! The waterfall was amazing!

Reminds me of my (so far) once in a lifetime visit from Ponca to Pruitt along the Buffalo River only to find curators and troubadours Donna and Kelly Mulhollan, who write, quilt, play and sing as Still on the Hill the next day. Find and play their Still a River album, which features all manner of heartfelt colorful history, including about Granny Henderson. So cool to see her house!
