That’s why he finally walked away and retired because he knew he wasn’t going to get the credit and big fights and pay he deserved! I believe bud was close to doing the same thing had not Spence went rogue on his camp and Al Haymon because he wanted to see who was the best and kept his word!
If not bud certainly would’ve done what ward did and many wouldn’t have known how great Bud truly is just like many don’t know how great ward was!!!

@@BrandenErik11 Cope harder. Bivol become the WBA interim Champion and was mandatory for Ward's WBA belt, while Beterbiev was in a final eliminator for Ward's IBF belt. Ward saw them both coming for him and dropped the belts and fled into retirement.
Hence, the WBA elevated Bivol to full champion and Beterbiev's fight was no longer a final eliminator but was for the now vacant IBF title.
Why did Ward run from them?

Yea For Him To Still Have His Faculties And Still Can Articulate And Show No Mental Effects Of Boxing, Because Everytime Roy Got Knocked Out It Was Violent And He Was Out For A Long Time I Mean Put To Sleep, Every KO, But When He Was Young In The Game, He Was Whuppin n Takin All Comers, The Only Fighter I've Seen Had Hand Speed That Fast Was SRLeonard Able To Hit n Not Get Hit, So Fast He Cud Hit U Wit 2 Punches n It Sounds Like 1!!!
Ward i will admit wasn't flashy but he was a technician in the ring.
That's the reason why he didn't take in the US. Plus, he was dodged like no other... they finally had a middleweight tournament (which he won) because there were so many good super middleweights... they could avoid him no longer. He was the only boxer to win every match of the super middleweight tournament.
And also a dirty fighter that got a gifted decision against Kovalev on the 1st fight

ROY is absolutely correct!!!. However, politics played a part to some extent becasue Andre won the Gold medal in the 2004 Olympics; America (generally speaking) didn't embrace nor promote him for one reason or another
Ward has 0 memorable fights & the few he has are for negative reasons. His robbery decision vs Kovalev where he was outlanded & dropped but given the win by 3 American judges. The rematch where he punched Kovalev low blows 20 times in a row in front of the Ref. Instead of ruining the previous 19 punches a low blow or giving Kovalev a standing 8 Count the Ref waived off the fight.
