    My first new truck was in 1967, like most truck owners back then I would have never thought trucks would become as nice as they are now. Awesome looking truck, put some bigger tires/wheels on it and it becomes super awesome. Thanks for sharing, peace out.

    Thank you TRUCK MASTER for including me in your video review of the new Silverado!! For all you fact checkers out there, you are correct, I was a bit nervous and made a few false statements. This is a Crew Cab with a 5 foot 6 inch box, I said 6 foot 6 inch, and the dynamic fuel management doesn't run on two cylinders, it actually solves some of the previous active fuel management issues by being able to skip firing any of the cylinders. Feel free to message me if you would like a better explanation of why this is better.

      MIKE LOVE is there still the plastic box by the foot rest in the driver side? Why does GM hate tall people with a larger foot?

    • @mikelove3539
      @mikelove3539 Před 5 lety

      Greg Busby it is still there, it’s actually part of the wheelhouse. Good news is the seat adjusts so far back that I at 6’3” and size 13 shoe can barely reach the pedals

    As a F-150 owner I know you Chevy guys are going to love all the features we have enjoyed for years! Except for pano sunroof, adaptive cruise, massaging seats, availability of top engine in base trim , flat passenger floor.... but hey, you put up with no rear ac vents and a offset steering wheel for years.

      Jason Larsen well it’s true my friend. A Chevy Silverado keeps their value. It’s sad that all the 6.0 6.4 even the 6.7 have issues. The 6.6 and Allison transmission is known to be an all around good truck.

    • @jasonlarsen3515
      @jasonlarsen3515 Před 5 lety +2

      Don Abraham why are we talking about diesels? Didn’t know the 1500 had the 6.6. Wait a minute! Did you bring up diesels because you can’t answer for all the other shortcoming of the new Silverado? You sly fox!

    • @AStanton1966
      @AStanton1966 Před 5 lety +2

      I have a Silverado and a Mustang, so I have no brand loyalty. However, I think sun/moon roofs are the biggest mistakes you can buy when purchasing a vehicle. Why cut a hole in your roof and expect it not to leak or rattle?

    Just had to make this decision I went with the 18. Got a lt z71 all star edition with running boards and tonneau cover. That DFM sounds like nothing but problems as soon as the salesman told me about that I said I’ll take the 18. Put a range AFM Disabler in and I’m loving it

  • @mkillen182307
    @mkillen182307 Před 5 lety

    The new body style is growing on me. Still like the older gen styles, though. Appreciate what they’ve done to help fuel economy with certain trims on the truck and using aluminum in certain parts. Really nice one is able to tow that much. As for the interior, one of the major concerns I’ve had for the Chevy’s is that the back cab is not big enough. So, I like that they’ve added some room. The steering wheel could be a bit beefier. I like to drive trucks with heftier steering wheels. The screen seems a bit small and the interface a little outdated. Nice trailering features they’ve implemented for checkpoints. Overall, a nice truck.

    The 5.3 in my 2017 already has some irritating drive ability issues that GM seems to be unwilling to address. I can not imagine the issues with this new active fuel management system. It has some nice touches but overall I don't see a lot that my 2017 does not offer.

    Isn't the RST a 6.2 ? Also the new engine can drop down to 1 cyl.

      Ryan Wooden that's not possible. The v8 needs at least one cylinder opposing the other ...

    if you kill any of the cylinders it will have a miss unless you have a valve stuck open to release the compression which is funny or it might still be firing but no fuel going to the cylinder I'm not sure

    I currently own a 2015 sierra 1500 with the 5.3 eco tec motor. The 2019 just doesn't have enough changes from my truck for me to buy one. Here is what I would like to see the 2019 trucks come with standard:
    Much more horsepower I want 425hp/475ft lbs torque for towing. I pull a 5k-6klb trailer daily
    6.2 engine should be an option on the 1500 with a 6 speed trans. Not the 8 speed. Its too expensive out of warranty to replace
    4 rear diff gear options 3:43, 3:55, 3:73 and 4:10. I have the 3:43 and they suck for towing
    Airbag suspension option
    Make the transmission less clunky in between shifts. My Nissan Armada blows my GMC away with how smooth it shifts
    Factory towing mirror options. The stock mirrors are horrible for towing
    Better premium audio with optional sub woofer. Its not too bad in the GMC but my 2013 Ford F250 had a way better stereo system in it with a factory sub.
    Improved stock headlights. Projection lights should come standard
    If they make all of the above options/changes available then I'll buy another Sierra

    The small headlights worries me. I live in the country with curved highways and we have wild horses. I dont want hit a horse at night.
