BDI is amazing, I was going to buy Corridor 8179 but I'm going to purchase Element Ricochet for Sony Z9J 85in, I own BDI Ola 8137 & BDI Cavo 8168, I can't speak enough about the quality of BDI, it's a commitment similar to my equipment that speaks to excellence, build quality, functional, sleek, thank you for sharing your experience with BDI Corridor, you are looking like you have a winner of a project!!

Fantastic video! You make excellent points and provide ideas for our own media room remodel. Unfortunately, neither BDi nor Salamander make a deep enough cabinet for my Aventage A8. So, I have commissioned a cabinetry carpenter to make a custom floating cabinet for me.

Yes, it was pretty easy to adjust. BDI provides a tool to make it easy.

Is there any differences between the 8173 and 8179 ?, I just bought the 8179 ex-demo and the dimensions and everything you described seems identical, i'm guessing there's some detailed difference, nice review cheers, looking forward to getting mine, it's great that there's no flat pack to put together haha

Thank you :) I went with the 8173 compared to 8179 because the 8173 is a lower profile where I want it to sit lower. The height is 21 in compared to the 8179 stands that are 28.25 in. My basement doesn't have high ceilings, and I wanted to give the illusion that the ceilings are higher. I hope this helps :)

Where did you purcahse? All furniture stores by me include installation and delivery...all costing more for an already very expensive Media console. Great video BTW.

Nice video!! Any regrets on not going with the taller version 8179 or the color version? I’m leaning towards this 8173 charcoal version as well.
How big was your AVR? Mine measures 21" wide and 18" deep and so im concerned it won't fit within the cabinet

Two questions, the center compartment, how tall of a speaker can you fit in there? From what I understand the shelf is adjustable but, how adjustable is it, can the shelf be removed? #2 can this be setup without the metal stands, as in just laid flat on the floor, to make it more low profile? Thanks!

Yes, the shelf can be removed, and yes, you can remove the metal stand portion to give a lower profile. However, by doing that, you will lose some of the ventilation by doing that.

How do you adjust the out of aligned doors?
Can you set it up without the legs? It might be too high for me with the legs…
I wouldn't. The bottom console has multiple air vents and if you don't install the legs to it you will lose airflow in the cabinets.

black steel base for the inner chassis. Everything is assembled except for the doors and the top etched glass.

What size of TV do you have above it? I'd like to get an 85" with this, but my concern is because this is too tall it may force the TV to sit a bit too high
I am going to pick the 83 inch. I haven't decided if I'm going to get a Sony or LG.

Anyone paying 3k plus for a tv stand better get white glove delivery. I bought this exact unit from crutchfield and delivery included them putting it together.
Has anyone talked about the sound bar inside?? Does it interfere with sound at all? Any issues?
as long as the soundbar does not have up-firing speakers you should be ok. if upfiring then I suggest you place it on top of stand.

The glass is installed upside down
Actually, the satin-etched side of the glass is supposed to face up, so it is installed the correct way. This unique glass is resistant to scratches and scuffs, forgiving of fingerprints and dust, and provides a low sheen basis for the TV.
