- Today we look at how to fly a visual circuit with touch and go landings, otherwise known as 'Base Training' in the ToLissA321!

I am a real world Airbus pilot with thousands of hours flying the real aircraft and thought it would be fun to have a look at the new detailed simulation of the longest baby 'bus by Toliss. Hopefully you find this useful and it brings another perspective to your simulation. Any thoughts or comments are welcome!

3 years on and using your airbus videos for MSFS and the Inibuilds A320 NEO, really clear and easy to understand and i am learning a lot. Always wanted to do the base training and this is so helpfull with the fix info and timing etc, still not perfected it but it is good fun.
Great to hear! Thank you!
I have been flying the Toliss A319 for sometime now. But after watching your video tutorials, my flying has taken a whole new level. I have learnt so much more, so thanks for your time in making the videos.
Hi John that's really great to hear. You are very welcome, I enjoy helping people get to enjoy the 'bus a lot!
These videos are super useful for practicing. Thank you for your great help for us simmers. This one truly helps to practice landings.
Awesome tutorial, as always, thank you! I remember I made a request for this topic, and the timing is excellent for this rainy sunday afternoon!
I'm glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching and I hope you get some blue skies soon!
Fantastic video. You make it look so easy! This r/w Archer III pilot struggling, but improving. Using the Fenix A320, the FMGC managed speeds were much too slow - I've had to leave the speed pulled and dial it in as I go (it works fine on AP ILS approaches). Thank you!
Just heading downwind to do my 5th touch and goat EGPH - this tutorial has been fantastic. Great to be able to easily experience all of the complexity of the approach and landing phases. Having trouble getting the auto thrust to manage the speed though - it keeps setting a target below VLS.
Excellent and useful training as always. I've been looking forward to this one and it was well worth waiting for! Many thanks, @320 Sim Pilot!
Thanks Richard, really glad you enjoyed it! Hopefully the next one wont take so long!
Thanks I will try to improve my landings with your videos ! Great work as always !
You are welcome and thanks for watching! Good luck!
Amazing! I have been hoping for this video and here it is. Great! Thank you @320SimPilot
Thanks for the comment and watching Ariel! You are welcome.
Thank you so much for these videos, I use the Flight Factor A320 which is also a great model.
Thanks, cpt. Brilliant as usual!
You are welcome Pavel, thanks for watching!
Just starting to look at these jet liners, coming off the King Air C90... major jump in knowledge requirements. Or maybe just seems more sophisticated.
Doesn't matter how often you think you know about a straight forward procedure.....you still find yourself coming back to brush up on a section of the technique and practice some more
Thanks Vutti as always!
Very nice ideo very w3ell done.
What a master class
Great video, thank you.
You are welcome Jordi, thanks for watching and commenting!
Amazing amazing video sir
Great video, just wondering if it's your company's sop to keep the spoilers armed? Typically would have thought that they would be disarmed after takeoff
Thanks! Didn’t see this one. Great and helps a lot in landing / ga training. One question, saw that you won’t set DH in the appr page because you don’t fly the ils. Is that correct?
Nice video! I’m really hyped for MSFS2020, yet the airbus aircraft in that sim seem rather....default. This was quite fun watching u do touch and goes in the sim lol
I’ve watched a couple of sample flights. It’s good for a default but still not brilliant. I’m going to wait for aerosoft to bring their models over
Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for watching! The quality of the ToLiss is really excellent. I hope one day to have a similar product in MSFS 2020 but until then I will be using both I imagine!
Very nice video😉 Can you make video about the one failed engine procession?
Thank you Martin, and thanks for the suggestion!
Great Video.
You are very welcome Bouki!
Now that is some scenery!
And those flap extension sounds!
BSS sound for this one!
nice
Good morning sir,why you don't use the track 240 on final .
hey bro, did you adjust the Thrustmaster sidestick or are you using the settings as default?
Hi captain, during touch and go, at about 140 knots you say "rotate". On the PFD air speed indicator there is no flag indication of Vr. Is this reflects also the real plane?
Can you re-record this with the flybywire a32nx in msfs2020 I've been have some trouble getting the pland configured
How to calculate that radial line 151 in another airport for example ?
Could you do a tutorial for an inflight engine restart during cruise?
Hi Thomas I will have a look at what I can do!
320 Sim Pilot thanks. I have failures on random and had an engine failure. I reset the fault but took time to get it to restart so thought I made have done it wrong
I have just been watching someone do this but in the real world in an A320, I noticed when the radar alt call out to flare that there was another call which I'm guessing is not standard, it sounded like Zero Input. I was wondering what dose that mean? as I have never heard it before
Hi, was it possibly ‘Dual Input’? This call out is made by the computer if it senses both pilots making an input at the same time on the side stick. Thanks for watching!
Two questions:
1) Is there any specific reason for flying on S speed the whole circuit ,
2) how do you estimate the downwind turn to be 2.5nm offset with the runway?
Because you fly the circuit Flaps 1 with slats extended, S speed is the slats extended speed. Just start chrono and time 45 secs from passing the abeam the threshold - set ref line on ND as explained.
Alright , but why not with full flaps retracted?
@@sharklet7779 Because a lot of very clever experienced people decided that's the configuration you fly a circuit in. Why would you clean up the jet and fly faster just to slow down again? S speed is a suitable speed to fly the circuit...so you do.
@@bikeguy3034 Okay thanks !
brilliant has the mcdu dropped all the data after the touch down go around i thought it did
Thanks David! In this case it does not. The MCDU drops data after a short while on the ground, if you Go Around before then it keeps the data thankfully!
yes saves re reprogramming on the rotation phase cheers sir
this done work in the zibo 737 mod :(
GS 120 @ 3º = 600 ft/ min. How ?
rule of thumb is to multiple GS by 5 which will be a good match for descend rate for a three degree glidepath.
Are you trying to save some fuel with Flaps 3 landing on a Simulator ?? 😆
As an Airline Captain, you should know the difference between 'real life' and REALITY! 'real life' is just very bad English. Please stop using it eh? Apart from that, I enjoyed the video as I am seriously considering moving away from the FSL A320's and P3D5 to X Plane, anyway. Is the Tolis better than the new 'Fenix' that 'Blackbox711' loves to use but, in the 'xbox' game MSFS? Thanking you in anticipation?
