I'm an avid listener to your show Tim, I am also an SSPX attendee, so it won't surprise you that I'm more on Patrick's side. However my reason for the message is, when Patrick mentioned how Joseph tested his family through Benjamin, I got a lump in my throat and started weeping, which wouldn't be so bad if I was sitting at home, but I'm a stonemason working on a building site.

Even at my young age I KNEW something HORRIBLE was happening - I firmly believe that if Archbishop Lefebvre had not acted our Holy Mass AND other Sacraments would now be LOST !!

I’ve listen to the first hour and it’s great. My contribution is that whether Bergoglio is deemed an anti-pope or not he is an anti-pope. There’s always a possibility he won’t be deemed an anti-pope but if that happens and the church is to remain in the church then it’s absolutely necessary for his heresies to be expunged. It is impossible to imagine that the church adopts heresy and remains the church. So I’m with Patrick coffin that I’m going to remain firm in my conviction that the heresies of this anti-pope Will eventually be expunged from the faith. To believe otherwise to cease to be a Catholic. I won’t do that.

One other thing. The development of the Catholic gentleman is perhaps the real missing link. Respectful towards women. Good manners. I’ve met a couple of them usually above the age of 80 and have been in the military and were faithful in their faith or deeply repentant. Beautiful men. Generally can ballroom dance and escort a woman back to her chair. Rises when a woman enters his dinner table. That’s what I’d like to see come back in the Catholic social structure. Men are not taught as St Paul says - bad company corrupts good manners. So manners are important. Women loved Jesus - The original true “Catholic Gentleman.

A priest years ago warned me to stay away from movements within the church, whether it’s to the right or left. We all have access to what the church teaches. I don’t need you all to explain what Pope Francis meant. Throughout the history of the church most people didn’t even know who the know who the Pope was. Coffin reminds me of the parable of the mustard seed - even if the truth is only known by 0.01% of people, it's still 100% true. Then, that number of people who know the truth can grow because of the witness of those people like Coffin brave enough to be ahead of the curve. This is how the Church started, this is how we got out of the Arian crisis, the Avignon Papacy, etc. God doesn't necessarily work on majority opinion. In fact, he usually does the opposite. That's my main criticism of the argument that Bergoglio's papacy is valid because the majority of the faithful recognize him. That can be a piece of evidence, but it's not proof, and we are dealing with open heresy, not just doubts about the election's validity. I do also think that there is a growing number of people all over the world, including clergy, who doubt the validity of Bergoglio, and are just waiting for a strong voice to lay it out for them. We will see what God has in store!

Interesting interview, I can’t say I share his opinion on Francis being an antipope (although I understand why someone would end up at this conclusion) but I find it ironic (and somewhat absurd) he can hold this opinion and yet condemn the SSPX in the same breath. How can you believe we literally have an antipope in the chair of peter with the majority of the cardinals being invalid and get upset over the SSPX being disobedient? The reason why ppl find the SSPX tempting is because they are being proven right with every passing day. The crisis in the church didn’t just start with Francis and I don’t think anything will change until the problematic generations die off. Until then, God bless the SSPX for trying to provide a haven of sanity.
As far as the post trad hostility, I have noticed it and believe it’s primarily a result of people like Lofton who have created this weird cult like following where people have completely bought into this delusion where Francis is playing 4d chess and secretly based and awesome. it’s a coping mechanism.

1:05:30 One of the greatest acts of mercy and forgiveness is that of the Blessed Mother. As Patrick says, Jesus, the Christ, the totally innocent and pure Son of God, was murdered. An innocent man murdered as a scapegoat for the guilty. We are guilty of that murder by our mortal sins. Mary knows that. She had to watch her son, pure, beautiful, and innocent, murdered by thugs and betrayers. She knows we are responsible for that. Yet she chooses to obey the Father and accept, even love, us as her own children. If that doesn't make you want to crawl on your face every time you approach a Marian church, shrine, or statue, nothing will. That can give you a hint as to why she merited more grace than all the holy angels and saints combined.

@26:01 Is a key point. I take this to prayer all of the time. There is something really wrong with this "Pope". He is acting like someone with NO supernatural protection from error. If he is really the "Pope" then something is worse wrong. The least problematic position is that he is not the Pope. Do I think it is debatable? Sure, it is debatable. What a pedantic argument is he a really bad "Pope" or no pope at all? The best outcome for the church, is that he is not the Pope. Then we can write off his madness someday as the ravings of an anti-pope. I suspect he is not the Pope, but I cannot know it.

At around 1:09:25, yes it’s a turn-off re some trads saying the NO is not valid. I only recently went to the TLM (last summer) and have since been about 10 times. It’s beautiful, reverent, mystical, all those things that people have praised it for. But I don’t always go, not even once a month like I originally intended, for some of the reasons Tim stated. I only have to drive 30 minutes but it’s a small church (Mater Dei in Irving TX) and I have to get there an hour early to get a seat for the sung Mass. There are other reasons. To suggest that going to the NO is not valid is arrogant as well as erroneous.

Excellent (and informative) conversation, gentlemen! No matter how you slice this--as you both agreed--we are in wholly uncharted territory here, as the Church has never had a pope who is, without question, hell bent on eradicating both doctrine and the primacy of the office, thereby attempting to emasculate any future pontiff from having the authority to condemn him as a manifest heretic and/or anti-pope. A line from prophecy comes to mind here, paraphrasing: 'When the Church and world are one, then the time (for God to intervene) is at hand.' Bottom line: The time of mercy has nearly expired; please, one and all, prepare yourselves, and your family members, both physically and spiritually for harsh (and imminent) worldwide trials.

Great interview! For anyone claiming that there is nothing that can be done to bring Pope Francis' rein to an end, this is not true. While the Pope himself cannot be forced out of office by human authority within the Church, there are canonical procedures for addressing doctrinal errors or heresies. First the Bishops, theologians, and other competent authorities would need to insist upon fraternal correction and present theological arguments that bring correction to the Pope's teaching errors. If he were to resist, formal procedures for declaring him to be a heretic or for addressing grave doctrinal errors could be brought; they do exist within canonical law, all that said, it has only happened one time in history-
Pope Honorius I (625-638): Honorius I was posthumously anathematized by the Third Council of Constantinople in 680 for allegedly espousing the heresy of Monothelitism, which held that Christ had only one will. The council condemned Honorius for failing to unequivocally affirm orthodox doctrine and for allowing confusion and division within the Church. However, it's essential to note that the condemnation of Honorius has been a subject of historical debate, with some scholars arguing that he was misunderstood or unjustly condemned.
So, apart from the case of Pope Honorius I, there are no other instances in which a formal declaration of heresy was made against a pope in the history of the Catholic Church. The rarity of such cases underscores the gravity and solemnity with which the Church approaches matters of doctrinal fidelity and papal authority. It also illustrates that God is truly in control, and for better or worse, we have the Pope that we deserve. If we are serious Catholics who hold orthodoxy in high regard and embrace tradition, who are we then to go and invent new mechanisms to remove an unpopular pope?

Just want to clarify a common misconception.
"To square the circle" does not mean to take the circle and manipulate it into the shape of a square all the while maintaing its circleness.
It means to construct a square whose area is equal to that of a given circle. Although this might appear possible on first glance, it's actually a geometrical impossibility.
It's similar to the phrase "beg the question".
Both of these phrases were coined to mean something quite specific. If one is not told what they mean, one is likely to think they mean something quite different.
I remember when i misused both terms. Eventually, somebody finally set me straight.

I believe that the “PP” following a Pope’s signature stands for “Pastor pastorum,” not “Pro Pontifex.” When you see PM after a Pope’s name, it does mean “Pontifex Maximus.” As far as a drunk groom goes, a priest who is doing his job calls off the wedding. I'm with these people on a lot, the zoomers you're referring to, I agree with NJF on a lot... EMJ too (not on race stuff plus some protestant takes) ... but they're pro Francis... and I think it's because that would require a ton of digging that they don't have time for and they don't have shepherds to explain it.... I get it... so the easiest thing to do in that situation since you're being attacked on all sides ...you don't want to get excommunicated too. They don't need that. They are seeking truth, but you need to point it to them and do the work for them on this specific topic as it can be a can or worms and they don't want to make errors in this area, so they're waiting I think.
