Detroit suburbs are quite unsafe. 7 mile, 8 mile. I am sure you saw some shit! Don't EVER park your truck on a side street and don't EVER stop into a gas station at that hour. Piss in a bottle if you have to.
Good stuff,I envy your electronics you have in your rig,how times have changed. When I was driving all we had was a cb radio and a Rand McNally road atlast.I am having all of my trucking buddies check out your channel, keep up the good work.😅
I'm new to your channel, really digging it so far...I quit driving a truck in 1999 so your channel brings back some good (and bad) memories 😂 I guess I'm now living vicariously through you..😂
Hey heck bud, the trials and tribulations of a truck 🚚 🚚🚚🚚driver 🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈,if it's not 1 thing it's another, great video 📹,cool 😎tanker passing you, keep on truckin
I hear you brother! I hate delivering in big citites too, especially Detroit. Some of the places I use to deliver they had avery strict policy where you are not allowed to deliver when it's dark out. Deliver, park, any of that. I accidentally went there once a bit early and it was still dark out in the morning and the receiver gave me shit for it. That city raises the hairs on the back of my head.
Be happy Dakota 🙏 Liked the videos, beautiful land you were riding out there on that side by side, but, I still prefer SW Florida landscape year round 😎 ⛱ Hope you do post more often, don't forget to record for us 🥰 Be safe Hugs ❤
Pulling is some wild shit to watch because when everything goes boom, you can really see how the drivers are thrown around like toys just by the sheer force of the pull.
Hey high strung will we see more longer videos like this and your last one I like to watch longer videos keep up the good work brotha and I loved the last atv vid ❤️
@High_strung and hey if your goal is 200k when if you start uploading shorts of you going down a steep grade with your jakes "aka more views and subs" and where of you backing up a tight doc maybe or stupid 4 wheelers necmxt to a semi 😆 🤣 like the old vid of you getting cut off by one 😉
Hey man, tho I watching for trucking, but I rather enjoying seeing a little of what you also do. 😂 I didn't realize how really hard it must be to remember to hit RECORD. Thnx for all you do for me. I'm DAB. , paralyzed w M.S, but my mind is a youthful 60yo. So thianks again muchly.😅
As a local/regional driver out of Detroit delivering parts for the automakers. Let me tell you, the construction is never ending and one of are biggest headaches. Southfield freeway aka murder highway is known for road rage shootings, so I avoid that expressway as much as possible. 8 mile rd is dangerous but mostly cause people use it as a raceway. It’s 40MPH zone but people will cook at 70, they also love to run red lights anywhere in Detroit. At night if your anywhere south of 8 mile I personally never stop for red lights, I will yield for them but I never stop. That comes from when I was working in construction and didn’t want my tools jacked for drug money. Detroit knows about this and they will just fine you like $100 but nothing will go on your record. So it was either lose a $400 saw or pay $100 I’m taking the $100 route. Luckily since getting into trucking, I don’t really have to go too deep into the hood of Detroit like I use too. But Detroit has come around a lot recently, especially in downtown it’s actually really cool watch a city basically be reborn.
Hey that's me in the green truck! It was cool to talk with you on the radio for a minute. Awesome video of my truck, thanks! Yours looks even sharper than it does on video seeing it roll down the road!
As a driver for a chip company i personally made that right turn onto Ryan rd yesterday with all that construction, it’s insane, I went to reinhart right there as well, I unload all my trailers by hand deadsracked to pallet. I frequent that reinhart often. Be safe out there man..!
I used to work near E Davison and 7 mile where you were and it's halfway decent there lol there's some areas that you just don't stop around at all lol
Sup little brother? Good to see you again. The absolute worst refer travel experiences i ever had was running chickens to upstate NY and picking up LTL "high value" back down 95. Stay safe.
I'm from Detroit, and I used to go trucking with my dad all the time. Making a delivery/picking up a load anywhere in the Detroit area is a pain, but you get used to it pretty quick lol
I was looking at where you were going. Not a bad area , that is Warren Mi . I park my truck on that street. Ryan rd . You came in off 10 mile should have took 9 or 8 mile.
Hey Dakota. Do you prefer the cat or Cummins . My whole family have got trucks and all like Cummins. Guess I'm the odd one out as I love the cat motors
I knew I recognized a truck over that way the other day. Oddly enough I make deliveries on 7 Mile and do a lot of driving on the Mile roads. Never had an issue. Always nice people, never felt unsafe. Found that interesting while looking at some of the other commenters. Plenty of places to watch yourself in the Murder Mitten, Detroit really ain't bad. The big issues are the no truck routes (I ignore them hauling dirt and flatbed) and construction we have going on EVERYWHERE. Everything is one lane just assume every 3-4 lane is one lane. I have one place I go to if I'm 15 minutes later than normal I end up 1.5 hours late
Holy, shit! You are LITERALLY 4 streets from where I live. You got off on the exit that is RIGHT by my house! This is nuts! haha. You were driving on 10 mile. Its a pretty safe area. The signs are a little wonky but you are good to travel on that road with a semi. Damn, would have been nice to run into you. I am a shipping receiving manager and always wonder if I would ever run into some of you truckers that I watch on youtube.
@@High_strung The construction is pretty bad in this area right now too. Smart thinking on going there at 1am. Madison Heights in general is pretty safe. The place that you delivered to on Ryan, I don't really travel south on Ryan so I am not sure what company that was, but holy shit. Their receiving area is way to damn small. Nice work on getting it docked. My company distributes musicians merchandise and I am pretty sure you only do cold storage stuff, so its unlikely you would deliver for us. But if you ever happen to be delivering in Warren, that's where my company is located.
Dude, love the content but your intro needs work. Your previous intro was top dollar. Spend the time and make a great intro, think you nailed the tune.
We forgot the top mount for the camera you guys have to check out larsons its fun and make sure you like and subscribe to this video he should be coming with more videos
& u should build yur self an organization shelf / rack to the right of u & build a flat floor bracket that uses the original passenger seat bolt brackets = that it would look soo much better on camera 📷 & it shouldn't $$$ that much either 2 do.....
So how old are you and how long had you been driving? How does one get in a truck like that, I would be happy to be at work everyday although you have those days
We sure do get in to some sketchy s$*t as drivers trying to get to shippers and receivers. Many times I have said what the actual **** about getting to places. One would think that they would have these places a wee bit more truck accessible, but no, let’s just make it heck on earth for the drivers. Because why not be difficult. 😂
Bro has a lot going on. Sometimes he posts regularly then sometimes we don’t get something for a few weeks. Can’t blame him, driving full time OTR and doing videos for CZcams / editing alone has to be a lot on top of his other hobbies. Just happy for what we get when we do. He’s gotta live his best life too 😀
Always a PLEASURE to watch your videos brother. Keep on driving, stay safe out there!

Stayed out in dexter/linwood on the west side for a little while. The shit you see is wild
Yeah I’ve delivered beer there it’s not safe to get out
Detroit really isn’t that bad, Yeah there’s some bad blocks but I’ve stopped at gas stations at 2-3AM and never been bothered once
Good stuff,I envy your electronics you have in your rig,how times have changed. When I was driving all we had was a cb radio and a Rand McNally road atlast.I am having all of my trucking buddies check out your channel, keep up the good work.😅

Been on 7 and 8 mile too!
Maaan how did you connect the reverse lights on the trailer to work on the reverse ? 😂
I’m jealous tbh
You know thieves see a nice looking truck like that they already assume hundreds of dollars in the wallet or truck lol

Detroit is a rough city
Detroit has some insane victorian style homes. It's just the population that's the problem. Shame.
Like your videos but don’t like the camera on your head. It was better when you had the camera stationary over your shoulder. Keep them coming.
Where is the diesel fuild exhaust gauge on your truck what year is your truck
He drives a 2013 Peterbilt 389
Where’s your passenger seat
I wonder what the second GPS he has besides his Garmin
Ipad
Dakota never heard you whine so much
It was a trip lol
Play Brock Lesnar
Seems like you're getting burned out on doing videos.
