Just an FYI to anyone worried about Vertical Block Exemptions, don't worry they're practically identical and the new updated 2023 textbook often groups them together and they're assessed nearly the same. You will often see them both referenced together "Article 101(1) TFEU/Chapter I Prohibition CA 1998" etc. they needed to keep them nearly the same for cross border fluidity as too many differences would create uncertainty for UK companies who have presence in the EU. Thus, the UK's competition provisions mirror the EU's as they're modelled after the TFEU with slight differences mainly about sanctions, damages and penalties etc. and what authority has the power to deal with certain matters.
