Bros, don't freaking forget that Nylander was playing at a bargain price of $6.9 mil a year, producing well above his price points for many years. The same thing can be said about McKinnon giving his utmost loyalty and hence the bargain contract previously to the Avalanche so they can sign more good players to win the cup. Yeah, both these dudes deserve the many more millions they are getting now, $11.5 mil for Nylander and around $13 mil for Big Mac. Petterson has been getting $7.78 mil on his last contract. That is not freaking bad already. Petterson is very well off if he Gets from the Canucks on his next contract say $9.5 mil average to what Nylander and Big Mac are getting when they average the last and the next contract. Getting any more than that is like out-of-control inflation at the Supermarkets nowadays! Keep it realistic and satisfy both the club and the player.
Petterson is definitely worth more but let's hope the Canucks don't pay him substantially more. We want to win a cup and if we spend all our money on a few top players that leaves the rest of the team weaker. I don't think that we should be copying what TO does.
