Best climbing video I've seen in a very long time!
Time for a collab 💪
Then watch "King Line" (again) ;-)
Really ?!?!??!!" i pitty the fool " B.A.Barracus
Could not agree more!!! A new bar for climbing cinematography.
It'd be so cool to see you doing some deep water soloing again Magnus
It is very rare to see one of the top elite rock climber's having fun, failing, keeping it real, and then sending. Just like Sharma, Schubert keeps delivering.
I wouldn't say it's "very rare". A lot of climbers nowadays show exactly that process.
"A skier won" lol
Hands-down, one of the best CZcams videos we’ve ever seen! Great climbs/climbing, brilliant voice-overs, amazing music and excellent editing! Well done Jakob & Co!
I first realized after watching it twice that I spent over an hour in front of the screen. so worth it!
Impressive climb, gorgeous views, professional filming. Most people could take money for it:)
Brazilian funk playing to get them in the mood :D Amazing
This film was such high quality. Thank you so much for sharing your adventures with us.
I enjoyed watching this more than any other climbing film put out recently
now THAT was an excellent video. Commentary. Footage. Quality. Soundtrack. 10/10. Also, highlights the magnificence of Sharma - what vision and strength attacking that thing solo years ago.
This was easily one of the best climbing videos I have ever seen. Fantastic composition, gorgeous scenery, and of course Jakob just comes off as a guy that would be so much fun to climb with.
Incredible storytelling, videography, kudos on an amazing film (not just an amazing rock climbing film)!!
Super sick vid! Also really cool to see Julia's send, and also her crazy fall! Amazing views and also editing. I'm just curious how Jakob's chalk bag magically appeared at 24:50 lol
If you want to be a pro, you have to have that skill in your repertoire! 😂
Good spot 😂
Did ya watch the vid?
the shorts he wears are different too from the begining of the route
What an amazing film. That dyno...! I knew it was the crux of the line but seeing Jackob and all the strong climbers struggle on it that much puts it into another dimension :D
Would like to see the uncut footage.
So sick! Kind of distracting how Jakob alternates between green shorts + chalk bag and black shorts + no chalk bag on the send lol
Makes you wonder about the “sending”
What an inspiration and feeling of gratitude
Thank you for bringing these amazing climbs here on this platform, the quality and the beauty of these images is stunning ! Awesome climbing too
Lmao random Golica at 21:40 really caught me by surprise; awesome xd
That was the most dramatic send I've seen in a while. Bravo!
The footage are just mind-blowing, big up to the filming crews ! 😍
And thank you Jakob for pushing the climbing of the roof and inspiring us 💪🎉
Good luck on your channel! Don't think you have to prove anything Jakob...just show us your love of climbing. Your modesty is precious. Nice job filmmakers! Wish I was there shooting 4th camera....
Goosebumps!
This footage is 10x better then a lot of stuff we get on the big production movies. Es Pontas is so legendary and you guys captured it so well!
The sportsman of the year sequence strongly reminded me of the flight sequence in Snatch, well done!
Cinema quality with this one. Amazing!
most impressive thing was learning the movement needed to do the dyno so fast! what a legend
Jakob Schubert in: the mystery of the chalkbag that phases in and out of existence
You’re a living legend Jakob!
Heres a comment for the algorithm. I love this channel
high quality video! And top climbing of curse! Very inspiring to watch!
Balsam für die Seele! Danke für's Hochladen, das Video ist mega geworden!
Such a great video, it captures the human quality of what makes climbing trips so much fun and inspires people to do the same. The hard climbing, the failure & the send, the fun, the friends, the music, etc. Almost like a holiday video, yet also includes some incredibly hard work, at a really high production quality. Beautiful!
Holy shit man, this content has been second to none. I've enjoyed these so damn much. Thank you to all of your team & everyone involved for giving us these!
amazing production thanks people!
Hammer Video Jungs. Spannung bis zum Schluss. Unglaublich welch Ausdauer ihr habts. Volle Geil. Gratuliere Jakob 🎉🎉❤
This is so well edited and filmed aaaahh thank you!!!
It's so iconic this line. Props!!!
Amazing video and amazing send, congratulations!
Congratulations! You did it.
Definitely think that Jakob has a VERY strong case for best climber in the world. Definitely, along with Chris, one of the most versatile…I think that he and stefano are definitely making a strong push for that mantle. Adam is still Adam but when you factor in all of the many forms of climbing and what they’re doing TODAY (not their resume) these dudes are creating a lane that is second to none. Great job Jakob
Seb Bouin is sending way harder and seems to get very little attention.😕
I think Adam still leads the pack in terms of sheer technical skill and dexterity. But there's definitely physically _stronger_ climbers out there right now, for sure
Ondra: 9c, 8C+, Dawn Wall in double quick time, sandstone first ascents, hard crack climbs, 9a OS, 9a+ flash, multiple WC winner in bouldering and lead and world champ in both. I don't know of any climber today who can compete for cheer versatility, nor level. But Jakub sure is incredible in his own way.
@@ThainAranlaus TRUE, I always forget about him🤙🏽
@@denislejeune9218 did you read the comment? I literally specified that I’m not talking about his resume….Adam did those things years ago and even though he’s still in the conversation it’s not as clear cut as it used to be. Best climber isn’t a lifetime achievement award. It’s about what you’re doing right now and when you factor in outside and the competition scene Jakob is doing more than anyone else right now.
Congrats for the performance and for this amazing way of sharing it. Man, Johannes Mair editing conveys emotion.
Wow what a great film! Jakob you're quickly becoming one of the ambassadors of the sport!
Wow amazing, so happy to watch this mastetpiece!
Best climbing video of 2023 with no doubt, specially for someone living here in Mallorca, it’s very special to see.
Completly impressive! Amazing video and amazing experience
Beautiful ! Good job !
Man, the editing of these is sliiick
What an amazing video !🤩👌 Thanks !
Amazing to see you on the island that I live and love! Epic
Great video! Enjoyed it very much. Makes me want to go there now. Congrats on the send. Good luck in Paris.
Wow congrats. I rlly dont often comment but such work in filming and such crazy climbing. Amazing
Excellent editing.
Great storytelling. Maybe more mention of the FA's of the other routes??
Awesome film!!
Amazing climb, amazing film making!!
Essentially, Jakob did Es Pontas cruxes twice on the same day, back to back 🤯🐐
Sharma is like a shaman who through vision quests discovers these insane lines that we mortals get to watch crushers have the time of their lives on. Id kill to try Spanish dws!
A skier won..anyways :)
Congrats for your resent milestones! You're on fire right now..your passion is pure inspiration!
Thank you for sharing these experiences!
Very nice to hace a view of the places and atmosphere, i was wondering to go to Mallorca, now i know i will
Es Pontas: the greatest boulder problem in the world! ;)
THANKS A LOT FOR THE VIDEO, AMAZING!! 🙌🙌
How did you get the chalk bags after the dyno? And how did you try the second crux without doing the dyno?
so good, so nice to see so much satisfaction. i am so happy for you and everyone of crew to have such a good time. that what is all about. 9a or 7a who cares ;)
Gänsehaut! (goosebumbs)
Amazing trip and amazing routes ❤
wow Respect and Congrats
So sick, stuck the dyno in a very Sharminian way 🎉
Folks, here's an instant classic.
Insane video, love it
Music at 21.48 is from Slovenian band Avseniki - Golica. Jernej Kruder (Slovenian) did it. 😁
Es pontàs means the big bridge in Catalan, pretty obvious why it was given this name ;)
super inspiring !
Superb effort and achievement. Important to recognize the vision and artfulness of first ascentionist Chris Sharma. These are his works, left for others to follow. 🙏
Amazing 🤩
Legend! Dream route
Amazing video. Thanks
Please Upload the uncuts too! Best with commentary
Amazing!
amazing film! 👏
I‘d love to see ondra on this route
Sehr motivierend! :)
WHAT. A. DOCUMENTATION.
FUCK YEAH!! THANKS FOR INSPIRING!! ❤
How to manage the chalk bag after drop to water? Change a new one?
23:20 😂😎
The victory lap❤
Insane
Wanna know what magic alcohol did you drink before sending Es Pontas, I want it too! 😅
for me the north west is by far the most breathtaking and impressive in terms of mountain and rock formations!
Oh yes no doubt about it the Serra de Tramuntana is amazing.
Do they bring a boatload of chalkbags or how does this work?
awesome
2:28 e o funk comendo antes do Climb. Chamaaa
12:27 any idea which site/platform is that?
Amazing sends, incredible places and stunning video quality!
Mucho tiempoooo
I've heard of a static alternative to the dyno on Es Pontas
Beautooful
Super cooles Video, aber ist da nicht ein kleiner Schnitzer beim schneiden passiert? Bei 24:36 bist du ohne Chalkbag und dann landest du den Sprung und hast plötzlich ein Chalkbag und steigst durch.
very good video but why does it take so long to upload? i need more climbing videos :D
Do you have footage of sending the original start?
really impressive ! I just read that sharma graded it 9b. would be interesting to know how jakob chose to grade it 9a although grade isn't the most important thing here ;)
Sharma didn't grade it 9b. I think he graded it 9a+. As did Kruder. Why Schubert graded it 9a, though, especially if he found it harder than Alasha, I don't know either.
✊👏👏👏👏👏
maybe downturn climbing shoes like Solution comp are not the best option for large jumps ! Chris would smile too ! :)
