Hey I have a stihl ms 460 and the chain side of the saw has been getting excessively hot, it oils fine clutch drum spins freely. Just wondering if you might know what that might be?
because the exhaust is inside, from the little gas outlet, opens the exhaust and cuts the crumb, and the outlet at the front the chainsaw will heat up a third of the temperature and after you need a tune up, I think
These husky saws ,man I got a few and u gotta tighten that dam thing down all the time or it will come apart ,my Handel always comes loose I don't know why

how many horsepower do you think you gained after Muffler mod?
Very little. It needs the full mod package to really wake up.

What do you do to the muffler?
I cut the factory deflector off, and open the area up under it. Then I make a new larger deflector and braze it on.
So you like the 572 better than the 462?
