- Chris Bailey is a 3D filmmaker and Blender youtuber and regular contributor to CGCookie's CZcams channel.
He is currently working at Animal Logic (DC League of Super Pets, the Lego Movie, Peter Rabbit) in Sydney Australia as the lead blender artist for previsualisation on animated feature films. Drawing on his experience working with some of Hollywood's biggest directors, Chris will take you through his process and workflow for creating films in Blender. He'll also share how Blender became the ULTIMATE tool for real-time previz at Animal Logic.
Whether you're a solo artist wanting to make your first short film, or an experienced lead looking for the best previz tool for your next feature film, this talk is for you. Chris will take you step by step through how he approaches layout, animation and lighting using Blender's real-time renderer Eevee using his latest short film "Dump Run" as a case study.

Thanks for having me Blender!!! That was a blast!
LOL, I wanna hug You for that !
My favorite Talk yet, although (cheating), I've been a fan of your CZcamsry for some time !
Your Grease Pencil-Storyboard-Filmmaking video would make a good double feature with this talk !!!
Almost painful to watch the years of non-straight line TD'g to develop this Pipeline.... ~Epic !
Big fan
The Blender Conference 2022 has really been a gold mine of content. Amazing job, everyone involved!
Fantastic talk looking forward to following this workflow all the way home.
Nice talk! Enjoyed the workflow tips, very creative approach. Thank you so much! :)
Amazing to see you Chris, and learned something's just now seriously.
Ah, I missed it Live. Just got the notification.
Great presentation Chris!! Many thanks:)
This is awesome!
Wow, so many tips. I learned a lot :)
A great presentation. Thank you. Dg
Interesting approach, I wonder how this compares to using scenes in the VSE. I would think the VSE results in less messy timelines and animation but is probably worse performance-wise, because you need to have multiple scenes loaded?
why I never knew this Ctrl+B hack lol.
I love Blender 🇮🇳
