I will admit I got a basketball scholarship to play for Nebraska. My papa wanted me to take the offer. But I chose to focus on my academics before I did sports which he understood and now my papa passed this March on the 21st and he told me this before he passed that he wants me to peruse my dream of playing college sports and do something great along with a good degree that Ik I will enjoy and have fun with and I’m thinking about Nebraska highly still.
Im a Pitt fan, but I would love to see Nebraska get back to being one of the blue bloods of college football.

When I hear this, It reminds me of Tom Osbourne, standing on the sideline watching The Cornhuskers defeat those great Colorado & Miami teams of the early 90s. They`ve never been quite the same since those days.

Ngl when someone talks about dynasties in college football the two teams that always come to mind are Nebraska and Alabama. But Nebraska is the definition of dynasty considering there legendary teams in the 80’s and the 90s. As a junior in highschool I’m applying to universities this upcoming summer just as most others are, my mom told me to narrow it down to five schools from nine. My five schools I’m applying to are Michigan, Nebraska, LSU, Kentucky, and Alabama. But Ngl I really like Nebraska’s agricultural department and I consider it to be number one or number two on my list since it’s not as expensive as Michigan, it has good academics, good football team with a rich history and legacy, and good food where the school is which is the city of Lincoln. After I get out of the Army and do my contract I plan on taking my degree and trying to get a technology job or business job in agriculture with John Deere or Massy Ferguson or some other agricultural company. Nebraska’s agricultural department would be perfect for that but Ngl I have to consider the other schools, although Nebraska is definitely high up there and in the top three since it has so many good qualities and the only con is how far it is away but that doesn’t matter that much when you’re getting a good education and a great experience. But like I said I have to consider the other schools, I like all of them but Nebraska is super good.

@@hydraFB I think it is tbh, Ngl I like all of the schools on my list. But Nebraska in particular is really good. But eh we will see, and bruh I’m kinda annoyed that Ohio state beat Nebraska. I wanted Nebraska to win, although I’m super happy that Michigan beat Minnesota.

Those teams from the 90s, the were awesome, especially when they were dominated the running game including using the Wishbone formation. In this day and age when teams running the up tempo offense, it makes the running game less usable. If I were a head coach, I would bring back similar formations like Wishbone, Wing T, Full House, and Power I.
So were teams from the 70's and 80's.I just do not understand the why and how they have fallen away so fast and far.

I mean we are a lot like Nebraska- we used to be consistent winners but we haven’t won a title since 1997. The sad truth is we haven’t even been close since 2006, when we were 2 and OSU was 1.

Never mind the missed PI on Grant Perry, Amara Darboh, and the crappy PI call against Delano Hill. That game was bullshit, but we also played like complete garbage against a team we were better than.
