I love how with two large sets, Lego has basically given us an unofficial Pirates line with five high quality builds. Would love to see them do the same for Castle.
With the blacksmith and the 3in1 castle they pretty much did that :D

Great combination. Maybe they'll be more pirate sets in the future that can be combined, or maybe a combination with some old nostalgic sets.

This video has given me all kinds of ideas for combining my two Barracuda Bay sets with my soon-to-be-incoming three 31109 sets.
Glad to see someone do this, they all look so great. I need to pick up another of these sets.
Since we are starved of the pirates theme we have have to indulge when we can lol

Great build! You may probably add a cave or a volcano, Ninjago 71722 set has a great skull as well that after a few changes perfectly fits pirates theme.

well done, that double wall interrior is the way to go. still looked roomy inside too. I missed out on the baracuda bay, the lions knight castle got me back into lego. but this is way cool of a pirate island.
I loved the way you put them together!! They flow very nicely and make sense as a pirate hideaway. Love the detailing and the way it’s connected. Once again, great job!

A fun tip with the shark. Lego makes the shark look kind of goofy/happy with the eyes, but if you turn the eyes upside down it gives it a more evil look that could be associated with a man eating shark :)

Looks great, well done! I'm working myself on combining these pirates sets with the side buildings of the temple of Airjitzu, to connect to the Ninjago docks. The tavern really looks great and natural there :)
I had the same idea to buy the creator set just to fill in the empty island space
I just got both of the new pirate sets , and was thinking to do the same only smaller . I love your pirate island I don't think there needs to be any changes. Great job mate

This is awesome and had something similar in mind myself. I have my Barracuda Bay set still to build plus a couple of the 3 in 1 sets. I also bought a complete Barracuda island from someone on eBay so have plenty of options to make something even bigger. Thank you for showing us your creation and if you’ve got any more pirate ideas will be good to see them Aaarrggh!!

Would love to share my idea plus the rest of my stuff. I’m currently in the process of getting an annexe building built, probably in the new year now. All of my collection is currently packed away plus literally a loft full of MB sets still to build. We thought we were going to move house but didn’t materialise.
It must be frustrating for you with everything going on, be sure to reach out when it all comes together.

I have the original Barracuda ship from 1989 so i have no need to remove the ship from the island.
lol i never seen your vi before but i bought these items 4 items for the same reason you did. but ive waited to build mine until i got bored of my knights setup. so finally im getting the new eldorado fortress and its time for a new setup :D wish me luck!

Did you have to have two creator sets for this build? One for tavern and one for 3 in 1 ship?
I wish you would record some fo your builds and then edit them into the show so it would be more engaging. If you combined the creator set did you just add the added builds from the 2nd set you purchased (from the other video) I'm guessing you didnt combine creator pirate and barracuda bay to make one set, but you combined your 4 sets (2 of each) - If you added that in your notes on the video that would be great.
That looks so great. Your MOC videos are my favorite ones and are the reason why I found this channel in 2018. (I would also love to see you city and western town to be back on the channel some day.) If you see any way, you should really dedicate some space in your room to this layout and possible future extensions that could contain some of your other ships.
I'm debating whether I should have a Pirates layout as well for quite a while. Since I still work on a large city and some Classic Space layouts, I did not really get into it. My plan is still to incorporate these sets into the theme park of my city. Looking at this, I would love to have a separate layout with lots of islands, though. :-)
A separate layout would be awesome, only if we had unlimited space lol. Must be great to have a classic space layout, I'm jealous :) I've really had the urge to work on the western town but first I need to set the city up again unfortunately I don't get a lot of build time.

I have at least 4 Pirate ships from the 90, the big one is 6289, unfortunately they are in a container that is about 3 inches deep with misc. lego's, what is the best way to sort through them and then find the correct pieces for the ships?
I would suggest to sort the tub of parts into colours and then get a parts list for each of the sets. If you are not sure what the set numbers are I would suggest using Brickset to find the set numbers and they also have a parts list for each set. Happy sorting!
