I actually took a 1lk deductible plan since I might go and settle abroad and also I intend to use this as a backup only should I ever loose employment in India and I did that before watching this video …but one case I think you did not cover properly is one can always take a claim from 2 policies in the same country , if the claim amount is more than single policy. I think you covered that in an alternate way the same thing when yu discussed the case of taking a 2nd policy to cover the deductible from the 1st policy
But I agree this is the best way for NRI
    Thanks

Many Dr's in UAE advise to go to India for treatment of any major ailments. In that case if u don't have H Insurance in India it will make a big hole in your pocket. We need to consider this angle also.

So, Will global health insurance taken in india helps? E.g Manipal Cigna lifetime health global plan? Will this help both in india and overseas?

This video was really helpful. Myth around the increasing premium was explained perfectly . If I understand all the points in video I can kind off derive a conclusion that if someone is below 40 can either skip buying health insurance in India now or take a one with minimal price .

May be below is not applicable in inda , but check this:
If you pay the threshold amount (deductible) of your top-up insurance plan out of your pocket, it wouldn't trigger the coverage of the top-up plan. Here's why:
Policy terms: Top-up insurance plans are designed to work in conjunction with a base health insurance plan. The deductible serves as a bridge between the two policies, ensuring that the top-up kicks in only after the base plan reaches its limit. Paying the deductible yourself bypasses this mechanism.

Well explained content Sir. I lost my health insurance in India recently since I switched employers outside and was wondering if I need to renew. Since you recommended this only for people above 45 or with pre-existing condition , I have planned not to renew it. Thanks for your help.

Very good advice for NRIs. Also many topup plans have an option to convert into a regular plan after 5+ years. Great work sir🎉

Thank you Sir! Your video's are quite helpful! I have a question.
I'm 33 individual from Nagpur, planning to buy a health plan for self. I was planning to buy HDFC ergo restore plan with 5 lac cover.
But my nature of job is such that I might have to work outside India for more than an year. In such case what should I do? Should I buy any other plans with 1 or 2 lac cover adding super top up so that it will have less premiums while I'm out of India.
If yes, can you recommend any good health plans which offer option to choose less cover + super top up? Because HDFC dosen't provide option to choose below 5 lac cover. Kindly advise. Thank you in advance!

Why not buy health insurance in india which has worldwide coverage. In this case u can still claim on your Indian policy

Completely disagree with you. If you taking deductible only, it is like giving free money to the insurance company. If you are not returning to India now doesn't mean you need treatment from India. I will take a basic plan and pay money rather than taking deductible which is total waste.
