I have two Science degrees (Biology BA, Biomedical Science MS) but I received my teaching certificate by completing a two year teaching program that is like a masters of teaching. I am certified in teaching Science for middle and high school. I’m only nervous because my DEGREEs are not in teaching however I have a certificate from an institution that qualified me to teach middle school Science.
Hi Shemashay. I am not sure if the teaching certificate that you have is equivalent to a Bachelors in Education. However, I think you should still apply and see what happens. Do you have teaching experience?

It was less than a month for me when I did the interview and secured a job. However, the process might take longer now due to Covid. A lot of schools are now trying to employ persons who are already on the UAE because there is a lot of travel restrictions from certain countries.

How does workload and standards vary from private to public?
Hi Lisa, how are you my dear? Thanks so much for subscribing. Yes, all expenses are covered except wifi for some schools. So basically you are just buying food and food is not expensive. So you basically get to keep all your salary. Yes, I am a Christian and I have found a church family. Most of the churches are filled with expats so you will always see someone from your nationality. The standard is more in the Private schools as those schools have kids from varying countries and really value education. However, both administrations private and public are supportive. However, the benefits are better in the public school.

Thanks Neisha. Some schools offer accommodation to single teachers only while others offer both single teachers and those with family. It is normally mentioned in the job postings.

You don't need to submit documents when you are applying. Only your CV and cover letter is needed. It is always best though to have your transcript ready in case you get an immediate offer or they reply and ask you to send your degree and transcript.
If you want to send a copy of your degree with the CV, that is also OK. Best wishes. Go ahead and start applying. 🙏

Hi Geogia, nice to see your videos. So inspiring. Would you like to share, what kind of teaching lisence that needed to have as a requirement to teach in UAE. Bcause as long as this, i just have my bachelor's and master's degree certificates, experience letter from the last school that i joined.
I saw people open for course for example 120hours training then get like TEFL certificate.

I am not about the required teaching licence. All I submitted for my job was degree, transcript and work experience letter. Not all schools ask for the licence. You just have to apply and see which ones don't

Thanks for watching. As far as I know, the drama teachers use props in their day to day teaching and they normally do a production during or at the end of the school year. The production is normally a partnership with the music department.

I had no experience teaching the British or American curriculum before coming to the UAE.

Thanks for watching. Benefits are not the same for every school so it's not possible to give you a definite answer. Some schools cover full tuition, while some give a percentage. Some schools cover child's airfare while some don't.

Thanks for watching Saneka. Which country are you from? Your documents must be attested in your home country at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and also at the Ministry of Education in your country. If you get a job in the UAE, you will also need to get Foreign Affairs attestation here , too.

What months are summer breaks in the UAE and how long is the break?
It depends on the school. Some last day of June, some first week of July. All schools resume in August.
Hi Georgia, I'm interested in teaching in the UAE. Currently a school administrator in a primary school with a B. Ed in Secondary Education (Business) and M. Ed in Educational Administration. The majority of my years of experience is in the Primary school system and only 8 months at the secondary level for which my first Degree speaks. Would I be able to secure a job in the UAE at the primary level?
What if I want to take my family; do they cater to that? If yes, what is the age limit for children? And do they pay for visas for family members or will I have to pay for that? Thank you for sharing in your channel.

I suggest that you apply for both Primary school and secondary jobs and during the interview you can ask about the possibility of teaching the Primary grades. Don't hesitate to send out your CV. Yes it is possible. However, there are currently some countries that no flights are allowed from because of covid, so that's a problem for teachers in those countries.

Are certain social media websites blocked?
You can use all the social media websites. For making calls though, you cannot make WhatsApp calls or Facebook calls unless you have a VPN that you pay for. Using a VPN here is illegal. Most persons use BOTIM. It works just like whatsapp.

I am not a native English language speaker but from my home country I have done Masters in English literature,technically English is my second language but I have studied it as a subject for many years so I believe I can manage to work on it well with ongoing teaching experiences as I get.
The issue is that
I have only a year of teaching experience in a GCSE based school & few months
in a British language institute.
I do not have a degree of bachelors in education too,.So, can I still apply?& do you think i'll be still considered for the interview?
B,ed here now is mostly of 4 years,at least 2 years in some institutes so doing it will carry a lot of more time.
What do you suggest?

Yes, here they refer to such teachers as NQT's, Newly Qualified Teachers. As long as you have a teaching degree you are qualified.
