I always loved Mickey's character in KH. In just this small scene, you see the kind of character he is: powerful and respected, but also warm and reassuring. I especially love the way he thanks Donald and Goofy. "Thank you guys for being such loyal and dependable friends. I knew I could count on you guys."
Everytime I play this game or re watch the ending I always get goosebumps everywhere in my body when Mickey pops up and says “now sora let’s close this door for good!!”
I finally beat KH1 today, it has been a long dream of mine. I couldn't get the chance when I was younger because our childhood ps2 had been given away but man, playing years later has paid off well. By the time the credits were rolling, I was shedding tears, sobbing hard. The characters are loveable, the story unfolds quite well and the gameplay is very fun, younger me would be proud. I'm glad I finally was able to get into this series.
Took me a while to notice this but the Keyblades Sora and Mickey both have are exact mirror images of each other; Sora's Keyblade is silver with a gold cross-guard and silver chain while Mickey's Keyblade is gold with a silver cross-guard and gold chain
@@Actually-Insane-eyyy same like me! My love for disney as my childhood + Sora getting in smash is what got me into KH. Despite the super-confusing lore.
I've only just played through the series. And while I really enjoyed it, nothing will beat Mickey appearing at the end of the first game and saving the day. For a split second I felt like a kid again... I'm pretty sure I shouted "it's Mickey!!". You don't even really see him clearly... He's just this mysterious, legendary silhouette. Silhouette we all know and love. I haven't felt like that since I stopped watching Disney movies as I grew up, which I think was around when Hercules was released (which is also why I love the large part Hercules had throughout the series).
I just finished KH1. I cheered when Mickey showed up. I hope he has more to do the next game well obviously thb next game is the search for Mickey and Riku
This scene looked much better on old CRT TVs, modern displays just don't have the contrast those old things could do to show of the difference between the white door and the roiling darkness.
One thing that I really enjoyed about Mickey's appearance here besides Allwine's performance and how he's portrayed. I genuinely love the usage of Mickey's classic design here. I know it eventually gets retconned but I think the usage of Mickey's classic design makes this scene hit a lot harder.
Mickey makes it clear that a heart of light can't exit the realm of Darkness through the door, only darkness (represented by the heartless) can exit from it. So all Riku could do is close the door and assist in locking it, not walk through it.
@@olpindolean3495and then 0.2 came to tell why he's shirtless, aswell what's happening inbetween Sora's fight against the heartlesses, and ansem in the world of chaos. Man just imagine if Aqua actually went out.

the music that plays encourages that
as a person who has never played the game

SAME❤
The fact that Aqua was actually fighting the heartless to prevent them from coming out, leaving her again alone in the realm of darkness.
" Mickey... you're too late."
Sorry, I had to.
Remember, Everyone. Nomura accidently retconned Mickey into being basically naked in this scene!

Kingdom hearts have the power to make grown man cry like baby .
🥺
i bet mickey got paid more for his 3 lines then the entire cast
UNDERRATED COMMENT 😂
definitely had a high billing
Fun fact: sora’s final smash is based off this
Not quite. It's based off the ending of the marluxia fight in Chain of memory
That’s crazy bro
I thought it would be Sora turning into a boat

When riku said take care of her. At the end
The best scene ever 😢❤️

I feel the same
I still love the other games but the first game just feels like the perfect collaboration of Disney and Square Enix
The song when mickey appears.... Chills
Damn the goosebumps when those piano notes start blaring was something else as a kid
As someone who loves anime and Disney, playing this game was the highlight of my childhood. My friends never understood.

Anyone know the music for this scene? It’s so damn good!
It's called "Always on my mind"

Suddenly Hercules
Olympus jumpscare
Sora be wanting to 100% the game after closing it
why riku didn't push the door from the outside? he could've been saved and it would be easier
It wouldnt have made a strong as an impact as this ending. Plus it sets up the story for chain of memories, sora and riku trying to find each other
There has to be two people on both sides to seal it or else it won't close.
@@oxymrn7038 I agree about the strong impact but logically speaking, it makes no sense

Those heartlesses is what supposed to be the beta demon wave. I guess
Aqua...
Why didn't Riku just help Sora push from the other side?
Or did he not want to ditch Mickey?
The only way for the door to close is for it to be done from both sides. If Riku went on the other side, they wouldn't have been able to seal it.
Poor rikku. Getting shafted. Couldn't get the girl. The majority of men worldwide fall under rikku. My man
Why did u cut off the Kairi bit?

Mario: now sora, lets close smash for good

They haven't made a design for him in the series yet since they were only allowed to use Mickey in one scene so they went with his classic design.
