For me the lyrics made Bbi Bbi 200% better. Cause after you know what she's saying, you understand the video and the yellow. It also made the song more memorable for me.
I dig it. I do really enjoy where IU is going. She strays from the everyday Kpop sound, but still keeps herself and her style. This MV does a pretty good job of reflecting her progression as an artist. That is my interpretation.
I like the theme of the song. It’s basically warning the people who are keep bugging her with bunch of bad comments. 1. People who are leaving hate comments about her clothes. 2. People who are leaving hate comments about her facial expressions 3. People who are leaving hate comments about her being friends with 설리 in fx. 4. People who find her facial expressions sexual I like her boldness of picking this song as a title song.
Yellow card is the warning card in soccer. It serves as a warning. Maybe to haters or obsessed fans (sasaengs) to keep their line and respect her space and privacy. Yellow is also for yellow journalism that sensationalizes news about artists. This song is actually sort of like a diss track.
IU is my #1 solo singer for a reason. She has an enormous creativity and her creative videos reminds me a little bit of Kina Grannis' older stuff like In Your Arms or Without Me (I'm a huge fan of Kina). Back to IU. I found it interesting how she sings STU P I D. The meaning is so shady. Does she hates Social Media or the people who use it for their stupid stuff and then they are hiding behind an anonymous ID? Who knows? :)
Tom's Music Corner I feel like you're right, or at least really close. I've read some comments about how this is a diss track for her haters. I read the English translation and it seems right. We all know haters typically hide behind a screen with anonymous ID's.
Tom's Music Corner There's many theories. One theory says that the yellow represents the media and gossips, like you know la la la line? Like keep your line and i need privacy kinda stuff
It's actually directed to her fans and how they invade her privacy. It's literally explained in the description of the mv so I don't know why y'all coming up with theories.
old comment but: i think the choreo where she sings "yellow c-a-r-d" refers to a soccer ref. and how they call a yellow card during a match. could be wrong though
The true power of this song are lyrics. There is nothing cute about them. Also great that you like 미아 (Lost Child), it's one of my favourite IU tracks although many think it was too serious for her age as a debute track. Would love if she remade it.
I think why I love the dance so much is because the first move of handing out the yellow card looks like a play on a finger heart- it's like a middle finger in a pretty package.
I always value your opinions TBH, You always spot something my eye or ear just misses and that really adds to the experience so !! I'm Happy to Be Here ALSO, EARLY WOOT WOOT
The first step or choreo she did in the chorus was a way or act of a referee giving out a yellow card to a soccer player as a warning. She's just basically saying back off and know your limitation in invading their (idols) private life.
I definitely share your thoughts. The song is super chill and I love it :) Also can you take a look at Shinwa's Kiss Me Like That? I was born years after their debut and I love the simplistic elegance of the MV.
Fat Ma .yes and the bridge part near the end when the music slows down I swear it reminds me of sth I can not think of rn.. probably Red Velvet? anw loveeeee this song!!
I don't know any songs from zico other than like the hype rap songs so I was like hella confused by ur comment lol but I checked out one stated in the replies
The first 20 seconds of the song, I knew I was going to like the song. IU's recent stuff are really catchy, easy on the ears, and just nice to listen to. Always with the messages too. =)
It’s so much “the style” like her collab with Zico in Soulmate (I’m still angry that you didn’t react to it) but it’s so much like that and I’m happy about that
IU's style is the type you would like more the more you listen to it. Her songs are catchy mostly the chorus and her music videos are yes weird but looks cute.
I really like this one. It’s one of my favorites from her. It’s telling people to mind there own business and I love the genre she went with. I also like the video and even the dance. It’s cute and simple. I’ve noticed with his videos I usually have the exact opposite opinion of him haha. Just different tastes I guess
I love this song so much that I can't even wait to watch the reaction before commenting. I think this is one of the ballsiest and most important songs in kpop. In my opinion, kpop culture is approaching a real breaking point. Artists are intensely vulnerable, subject to increasingly outsized expectations from fans and restrictions from companies with little to no protection being offered by the industry or the government. They are under constant pressure for perfection and are treated as if their lives are not their own, yet they have approximately zero access to the kinds of mental health resources that could help them cope with that. And then the very nature of the problem holds artists back from discussing it and insisting on positive change. But this is IU, and she has Fuck You Money, and she's going to speak her truth. 🙌 These artists make things we enjoy. That's it. That's a gift. *They owe us nothing.*
Thank you so much for reacting to IU! She’s my favorite solo artist and I love all of her music. When I first heard this song was for haters, I loved it even more than I already did.
There are actually some Korean CZcamsrs who were able to interpret her MV pretty well because they actually try to understand what she was trying to convey. Especially with IU who is an excellent lyricist and writes for many of her songs you need to read the translation of her lyrics first before making comments on her MV
The 1theK version for IU BBI BBI have english lyrics which contributes to the meaning of the song. The meaning made the song so much more amazing and I highly recommend it. Queen IU~
when i first heard the title, my thoughts immediately went to 삐삐 as in a beeper (or pager) or pippi longstocking. the mv and the sound took me aback, but i really like the overall feel of it! (and i totally agree, 미아 has to be one of her best songs to date!)
Can you react to Jeong Eunji's new song "Being There" or any of Eunji's hit songs (such as "The Spring" or " Hopefully Sky"). One of the best kpop vocalist and heart warming songs
I love watching your reactions but (so this is what i think okay?) please if you're reacting to a video, watch and listen carefully because you miss some important things if you're talking too much while watching, you can say anything you want to say after you watch the video. I think i'm not the only one who has a thought like this. But BTW GOOD REACTION
The fact that she has such a straight face while doing the dance moves is probably what cracks me up most. Love this track and your take on it.
chai-lattae facts
For me the lyrics made Bbi Bbi 200% better. Cause after you know what she's saying, you understand the video and the yellow. It also made the song more memorable for me.
totally agree with you !
it really is the softest diss track ever
Yes. Thats why we should turn the cc on lol
That's why I love her oof
Yeah I agree
Couldnt be more agree
Finally, someone who GETS it! YAY!
I loved Palette and Bbibbi the first time around. Probably cause it's the type of music I prefer
Same

@Zoe Inosanto I agree.

There's many theories. One theory says that the yellow represents the media and gossips, like you know la la la line? Like keep your line and i need privacy kinda stuff
KIMINKINK ' Yeah that makes sense. Thank you.
Same it's my fav line in the whole song
It's actually directed to her fans and how they invade her privacy. It's literally explained in the description of the mv so I don't know why y'all coming up with theories.
I really love this comeback, is fresh and cute.
The reason you found the dance funny is probably because it’s so different from IU’s usual style. I found it funny too tbh
BigFatSammich and the fact that she had a poker face while dancing in the mv made it cute and funnier too
old comment but: i think the choreo where she sings "yellow c-a-r-d" refers to a soccer ref. and how they call a yellow card during a match. could be wrong though

Oh i didnt notice it was a heart finger, i always thought it was to hand a yellow card
i am so obsessed with this songgg
The dance is so funny, because its IU, it just is awkward to see her doing it, but its entertaining to say the least. I like it.
Amish true im a uaena and i think iu isn’t the best dancer but definitely a true musician
This is a low key soft diss track..i love it
She's not really dissing anyone though. She's just describing the comments she gets but I get what you mean
The choreography makes so much sense if you understand to the lyrics~
I always value your opinions TBH, You always spot something my eye or ear just misses and that really adds to the experience so !! I'm Happy to Be Here
ALSO, EARLY WOOT WOOT
you really should check the lyrics it's an eye opener
hasane atif they can understand it, they’re american but korean ethnicity and speaks korean too
hasane atif He’s korean🤦🏾♀️
SUGA KOOKIE I think they are only korean ethnically though.. I do not think they are korean nationality
이도영 ok. At the end of the day he has some Korean in him😐
SUGA KOOKIE It is not same thing. Here they are considered a foreigner and not actually Korean.
This song really grew on me hard. After the third listen I was hooked.
her metaphors and message are seriously amazing. I like IU a lot because of this track
The first step or choreo she did in the chorus was a way or act of a referee giving out a yellow card to a soccer player as a warning. She's just basically saying back off and know your limitation in invading their (idols) private life.
yeeeee I was waiting for this
the queen has returned y'all
I definitely share your thoughts. The song is super chill and I love it :) Also can you take a look at Shinwa's Kiss Me Like That? I was born years after their debut and I love the simplistic elegance of the MV.
Anyone getting the Zico's vibe from Bbibbi?
Thuy Dung Le yessss!!! The Soulmate vibes
Fat Ma .yes and the bridge part near the end when the music slows down I swear it reminds me of sth I can not think of rn.. probably Red Velvet? anw loveeeee this song!!
Exactly what I felt only a few seconds after playing this. Everything screams Zico to me omggg
I don't know any songs from zico other than like the hype rap songs so I was like hella confused by ur comment lol but I checked out one stated in the replies
The dance looks so funny to me because she has absolutely no expression on her face while she dances
*"I don't know why I found the dance so funny".* SAME. It's so cute that choreography, I can't lol.
The first 20 seconds of the song, I knew I was going to like the song. IU's recent stuff are really catchy, easy on the ears, and just nice to listen to. Always with the messages too. =)
Palette is a timeless album tbh..iu is timeless, bbibbi is so amazing, especially the LYRICS.
This came on my birthday and it was honestly the greatest gift
I always love IU`s title tracks since `23`
I usually don't listen to her but that song it's just perfect.
It’s so much “the style” like her collab with Zico in Soulmate (I’m still angry that you didn’t react to it) but it’s so much like that and I’m happy about that

"Both minimalism and not minimalism at the same time" Basically reflects IU right there :)
Thank you so much for reacting to IU! She’s my favorite solo artist and I love all of her music. When I first heard this song was for haters, I loved it even more than I already did.

Pressed intl antis will never truly understand how much of a queen iu is... honestly i feel bad for them 😩
The airplanes represent instagram direct messages and the yellow and red represents how she's done with haters and people getting in her business
I love the choreography too,it’s so funny and perfectly fits the lyrics. I’m definitely gonna learn it!
The music video was directed by VM Project architecture ❤
It was really helpful. You always make my knowledge wide opened in professional way!! Thanks!
The 1theK version for IU BBI BBI have english lyrics which contributes to the meaning of the song. The meaning made the song so much more amazing and I highly recommend it. Queen IU~
